No it is not felt lined. It is very strong rubberized plastic. I would recommend it. It is a very good product.

Per Mercer Culinary's website, these knife guards' country of origin is Taiwan, not China. I'm not sure why the manufacturer would say on Amazon that they are made in China yet their website says Taiwan. It seems they are not being truthful on one or the other.

Q: What size guards come in the Mercer 4-piece knife guard set

Since no one else could answer my question, I bought the guards and now can answer it myself. The four knife guards that I received in the 4-pack set are 4"x1", 6"x1", 8"x2", 10.5"x 1.5"

It's a taco shell, sorry. And in my opinion (if you read my review), this POS is ridiculously overpriced. It's basically a folded piece of smooth, hard plastic. They should be selling it for 0.99 cents. Maybe 1.99 at the most! There is absolutely NOTHING that makes this item special that merits the price. If you can, try to find them in the store first so you can see what I mean and make up your own mind. I thought things were supposed to be cheaper on Amazon! Hope this helps.
