An Amazing replica of the original clocks in Swiss railroad stations, visible from a distance away. My gym only has Mondaine clocks, because you see the seconds hand a mile away, handy when you are timing yourself between sets.

Simple and beautiful

Smooth second bar move, keep accurate time, even come with optional AC adapter, but have been running for month on two AA batteries. AC adapter is not needed for operation. Came in a nice color printed box, authentic product. I enjoy it a lot!

I really like this clock. It is the same type used in many (all?) Swiss train stations. The second-hand has a nice, steady sweep. As other buyers have reported, however, the clock hands run into each other, so it will not keep accurate time. I had to take the clock apart, so that I could bend the hands to keep them running freely. Once I did that, it has been working well (it looks like it is gaining about 1 second per day, which is not bad). The price is much cheaper on Amazon Prime than it is in Switzerland.

We love this wall clock for several reasons. one of many is it is a beautiful example of modern industrial design and is the clock found in most Swiss train stations. It's easy to read and look great even in a more traditionally furnished room.

If your only frame of reference is the typical light-weight Chinese quartz clock, this clock will exceed every expectation you could possibly have. It's built like a machine! Well worth what it costs and then some.

I had this clock for about a year and a half. It stopped keeping time accurately. This vendor isn't an official, authorized Mondaine seller, so what will happen if you try to get this repaired through an official Mondaine channel is that they'll attempt to charge you $79 just to look at the clock. You can't get warranty service if you buy from this vendor. Internally, the movement is a cheap Seiko (SKP) movement and not a "Swiss" movement. It also doesn't do the right thing that a rail clock actually does -- the stop and go at the 0 second. Those SKP movements sell on the Internet for about $12. I'm going to attempt to replace the quartz movement but it's awfully irritating that you can't get warranty service for this overpriced clock.

J'attends un retour d'Amazon à ce sujet. L'horloge est-elle l'originale Mondaine??? Magnfique horloge. Reçue rapidement dans un emballage digne d'horlogerie de luxe. Mais toutes les 48h elle accuse un retard de plus de 5 minutes!!! J'hésite à retourner l'article. A ce prix et considérant le caractère "Suisse" de l'horloge c'est très décevant. J'attends une proposition d'Amazon. Serait-ce une pièce défectueuse?

Lovely, minimal-design wall clock. Silent sweeping seconds hand looks great. Clock is robustly made and looks elegant on the wall as an office clock -- also helps me to concentrate (I bought this to replace a ticking wall clock) as it is silent. Looks like it will last years too. Pros: Well made, solid build, silent sweep. Cons: Expensive!
