Milk Kefir or Water Kefir can be made with this fermenter. Just transform Universal Container for milk fermentation (4mm holes) or water kefir fermentation (1mm holes)
For Milk Kefir: remove polyethylene mesh with 1mm holes from container and place Kefir Grains inside. Access of milk to kefir grains is reliable through 4mm holes
For Water Kefir: install polyethylene mesh and add water kefir grains. Holes of mesh 1 mm : liquid freely goes inside but small grains are not lost
Fermenter has two exchangeable lids: one with micro holes (for fermentation), another for storage (solid)

The Universal Fermenter for Water and Milk Kefir (1.0L). Container has removable polyethylene mesh/grid: for water kefir needs 1mm holes; for milk kefir 4mm holes. Milk kefir is not fermented with 1mm holes because small holes covered with curd rapidly and slow down milk - grains exchange. Water kefir grains produce small grains that will be lost if holes are 4 mm. Nevertheless liquid (sweet water and juice) goes through 1mm holes without problems
