UltraFlex Finishing Trowel - 355 x 110mm

My First attempt at plastering so I can’t really give much comparison. I did find that this trowel left a really smooth finish and was good to use straight away. I felt like I could put a lot of pressure on the blade without fear of bending or breaking it. For me I believe that without this tool my finishing wouldn’t have been anywhere near as good. I wholly recommend this trowel.

Plasterer recommended this trowel to me after watching me struggle with a standard steel trowel and what a game changer. Well made, comfortable to use and so much easier to achieve a good finish with the flexi blade. Dont get scrapping or chipping off any old plaster with this blade as it will damage the edge very easily

Brilliant finishing trowel

First trowel I received had a dent in it, resulting in one of the corners bending slightly in the wrong direction. Amazon sent a replacement the next day and it was perfect. After struggling along with a cheap carbon-steel trowel, I decided to buy a proper finishing trowel. I was torn between this and the Nelaflex and this won on price (£30 at time of purchase). From reviews I've read, the only real difference is the handle. The difference between this and my cheap trowel is staggering. I am not particularly great at plastering but this trowel makes such a difference! The finish I got with the cheap carbon-steel trowel was terrible and required a lot of sanding to correct. The plaster kept tearing, I kept digging into it and getting scrapes from the rough edge, etc. I used the old trowel to slap up the next batch of plaster and used this one to finish. Perfect glass-like finish, smooth and ready to go. No digs, no scrapes, nothing. The edges of this trowel were perfectly smooth out the box and it doesn't rust as it's made of stainless steel. If you are a novice or DIYer, buy this trowel. Seriously, I regret not buying it sooner. Like I said, I am BAD at plastering but this thing is so good, even I could get a professional-looking finish with it. TIP WHEN BUYING: Check the trowel thoroughly for dents. Remove it carefully from the packaging and tilt it under a light to see if you can see any creases in the metal. A lot of the reviews mentioned they received damaged trowels and I'm glad I read them. TIP FOR PAINTING: I also bought a Tacklife paint sprayer and it makes painting freshly plastered walls SO much easier. After plastering a 7.5m x 4m room it took me just over an hour to get decent base coat on the whole room. 2nd coat took an hour and it was finished. Sprays GUZZLE paint but it's worth it for the time saved and the quality finish you get.

First time using it i wondered why I hadn't bought one before. Great handle that keeps it grip even when wet. Finish i got was outstanding without using too much pressure. Top quality for the money.
