Works great, bright light
Myself like many others have a Hampton Bay fan which takes this bulb. Unfortunately you couldn't buy a replacement buld for it even the day after you brought the fan home. Home Depot, Lowes, etc.. no one had the replacement bulbs. The packaging was a little lax so when I opened the box to find the bulb OK I was relieved. I haven't had a light in my fan for over a year because I couldn't find the bulbs locally. Decided to check online somewhere and voila. Thank god Amazon had the exact one I needed.Just FYI for those who have the TCP Circline Adapter you can actually unhook it from the fan and there is a regular bulb socket in the fan! You don't actually need the circular bulb. I didn't realize that until I saw the Circline Adapter here on Amazon under the "Recommended Products" thingy and it had a screw base in the diagram. Check it out.I absolutely love the circular bulb style because of the way it lights the whole room evenly. Since I got the first one to make sure it works I'll be buying a couple more as spares.

Built To Last
I bought this light as a tester. I purchased a different brand prior to purchasing this one and it died quickly there after. This brand (TCP T6 Circline) has made it through the year so I have decided to purchase another one; I have two lights like this in my kitchen but I have been operating on one (this one) for 11 months now. I have gained confidence in this bulb so today I bought another which will brighten my kitchen to its former glory. This light has a 1 year manufacturers warranty from date of purchase. Two thumbs up.

It fit fine and has thus far posed no issues
I purchased the light to replace a fluorescent dome I had bought from the 'depot'. It was the second dome I had purchased from them in 14 years. So average of about 7 years per bulb. After purchasing and installing the first dome, I had a need to replace the bulb & went back to the 'depot', much to my dismay, they sold 8 in and 12 in circular fluorescent replacement bulbs. Unable to find a replacement, I purchased a new dome. This latest time I went to replace the bulb, again found that I could not obtain the replacement at the 'depot', I was referred to a local lighting store, rather than wait for an opportune time to make it the local store in their minimalistic open hours, I went to peruse Amazon. Needless to say Amazon had the lights available and I ended up purchasing this option. It fit fine and has thus far posed no issues. The light is sufficiently bright, a little brighter than the original it was replacing. It is not dull and has no delay upon turning on...To that end, I'm more than happy with the purchase, it saved me money (rather than purchasing another replacement dome), it's an upgrade from the stock light, and it looks great. I'll update the review if I have any issues with the longevity of the bulb.

Thank you, Amazon!
I recently purchased a home where both of the bathrooms had a fixture requiring this light bulb. The previous owner warned me that they were discontinued and the fixtures would have to be rewired. One light did not work at all and after a few months the master bathroom light burned out as well. Sure enough, I could not find this bulb in any brick and mortar but the representative at Batteries Plus looked it up on Amazon for me, and sure enough, there they were! Hopefully I will not have to replace them again while I own the home. It was not an inexpensive purchase but saved me an awful lot of money for not having to hire an electrician.

So thankful to find...
The ceiling fan in our Dog Salon is old, at least 15 years, and I was afraid we'd be out of luck trying to find a replacement bulb for the light. Technology changes so fast that companies stop making older replacement parts. Well, this circular bulb is the same model number and works perfectly. As CFL lose brightness over time, I had forgotten how bright it was, and this is from a ceiling fan lamp that's 13 feet high in a 20ft ceiling. Now that I know it works, I'll be buying two more and a new ballast to cover me for at least another 10 years. Last bulb lasted 15+ years...same TCP bulb.Be sure to read the model numbers!

Should be obsolete
I mistakenly bought an FC8T9 bulb from the local HD, only to find out I couldn't get it to fit, as it was just a bit too small. Searching other local hardware stores, it seemed that nobody carries a 9" circline fluorescent bulb. So online I go! Thank you Amazon!Just got it in the mail yesterday. Sure enough, it fit perfectly. Unfortunately, mine wasn't quite the same as the dead one... the plug angle was just a little different and made for a tight squeeze for the plug, and the light color was more dim and yellowy compared to my mistake purchase (which was a smaller 22-watt 8" circline). I guess that's the low 2850K temp for ya... most others are 3000-4000K.Rather than replacing the bulb next time, I will probably replace my fixture instead, with something more conventional and flexible. I don't really care to pay for shipping that costs as much as the bulb!! and this bulb is likely your only choice if you have a 9" circline!!
