Q: Can this antenna be used as an access point?

No. It plugs into your computer with 2 USBs. If you’re computer is capable of creating an access point then you can do that as well.

Q: Hi, can you please tell me what the second USB plug (extension?) is for?

Devices that plug into 2 usb ports require more amperage than one standard USB port can provide. Same reason your phone charges faster on a wall charger than on your computer usb port. On your computer the USB 1.0 and 2.0 ports typically only provide 100 mA and 150 mA for USB 3.0. If the device requires more amperage it will plug into multiple usb ports. Only one is used for data, the other just gives it additional power. It may work on just one, but you may be sacrificing it's range as a result. Please mark answers helpful. Thanks!
