Please help. The description says Rustoleum 02304 problem surface sealer, 1-quart, clear, but the picture shows Gardz. Which is it? Thanks!

I am reading about people skimcoating the walls after removing wallpaper before applying Gardz. Is this necessary if I have just patched the holes?

This stuff is great. We removed wallpaper and had wall damage. We Gardz coated after sanding, then skim coated, then Gardz again. The paint went on beautifully and the wall texture is very even, hiding damage, wall compound, EVERYTHING. It is quite thin so careful about drips!

would this product seal and water-proof plaster and concrete planters? I am looking for a true clear sealer that does not yellow.

I don't think so, this product is more about helping paint adhere to wallpaper paste and other problem surfaces no waterproofing claims are made.

When comparing prices, I noticed on the home depot site that there is a choice between finishes-- flat/matte or gloss. Which finish is this?

I used this product on torn drywall to seal it after wallpaper had been removed. It dries clear with an essentially matte finish, MN maybe a slight sheen, but again, I used it on torn drywall. With that being said, the product worked wonders to seal all the exposed paper and I was able to then patch and paint the walls
