I am grateful Nesom Distributing has the various versions of Envigo Food blocks for pet rats. I purchased the 2014 version now that my girl are seniors. The blocks are nutritionally balanced to meet the dietary needs of fancy rats at different stages of life. Excellent product!

This is great stuff and Amazon is the only place I order from now! I've been buying it from "small fury pet supply" for almost 6 months, its a good price and it always arrives faster than expected. I would love to see a discount for buying in bulk... but I'm not complaining.I'm told by all the expert squirrel rehabilitators that this - along with "henrys healthy blocks" and a safe mix of veg & fruit - is the best diet for squirrels, and I'm a believer.. My boy has a beautiful tail & coat, and a healthy amount of body fat. No signs of metabolic bone disease or any of the other nutritional deficiency illnesses squirrels are prone to while being kept indoors. Plus the blocks are a big hit! Not as good as nuts of course.. but what is?

These are a perfect nutritional balance for our pet rats! We supplement with fresh veggies and ocassional fruits for the stimulation but these blocks are nutritionally sound. We have had pet rats off and on for 15 years now and will always be faithful to this brand (formerly Harlen Teklad) as our pets have always been healthy and happy with their food.

My rats really like their feed. I know it's a good quality because laboratory rats are fed this and my boys are healtyy, coats are good and shiny!

One of the best, and they will actually eat it. Feed this to various species of wild squirrels in rehabilitation. If you introduce this product first and they begin to nibble it, they WILL eat it, unless you crater and put in grapes and apples and sugary fruits, or nuts. This has what they need.

My rats vastly prefer these lab blocks versus the oxbow chips. And their volume ensures that it lasts a long while. a 25lb bag will last my 5 rats for about 3 months.

I supplement my rats' diet with fresh foods, but these blocks are the basis for their diet. The blocks help to keep their teeth in good shape. My rats hide them in their snuggle sleeping pouches for midnight snacks.

Best food for your rats! They love it and it provides them the proper nutrients.
