I own several of these and they work great. One is on the back screened in porch for our string lights. Another is used for my indoor grow lights when I'm starting veggies indoors in the late winter to early spring. Several others are used for Xmas lights.To use, just pull up all the pins, set the current time by using the dial, then push down only the pins you want the timer on for. So if you want your timer to turn on from 1-2pm then pull up all the pins then push down just 1-2pm. Then make sure the button on the side is set to use the timer rather than the "always on" option. And then just plug in whatever you want into the timer. This thing is so helpful and easy to use. Plus they last for years. I've never had one stop working (fingers crossed!)

I needed something that was simple & easy to use & this is perfect.

It is exactly what I wanted, a simple timer to fulfill a simple function of turning a light on and off at a specific time. It does that very well. The only issue I have had is that when the power goes out, which happens a lot at my house, the clock stops working. After a few weeks the timer was off by a few hours which defeated the whole purpose of having it. It is very easy to reset the clock though. Will definitely purchase again if the need arises.

We bought these before a trip to turn lights on and off at regular times. My husband didn't want an electronic timer to avoid more parts that could fail easily or not work in a power outage. We use these timers daily to turn on a few lamps at regular times each day. We have found that if the timer is in a place where it can be bumped, it is easy to bump a tab, causing it to turn on at different time. Also, I have accidentally placed something against the timer, keeping it from moving to the correct time. If unobstructed, it works consistently. Have used for a couple of years.

I've had this for about a month now and have no problems with it. Each pin or tab represents a half hour. They move up or down for on or off. Can't make it any simpler. Line up the arrow to the time of day and you're good to go. Mine is silent except for the off click. A little louder than a finger snap. For whatever reason the on click is almost inaudible.You can by pass the timer by sliding a switch on the top. The dial still keeps time, the outlets just return to normal. It just means that the timer would have to be someplace accessible.It is a grounded timer with two grounded outlets. That is to say, three pronged. It is not meant for outdoor use.It came in a plastic "shell", so to speak, with instructions. Easy peasy! If you have to be absolutely accurate, you may need to monitor it once or twice and just turn the dial a click or two. But really, its 30 minute intervals. If you need more accuracy than that, spend more than seven bucks.Unless this thing fails in short order, I'm happy with this purchase.
