Used the bit today to make 50 holes in 6x6 landscape timbers. From the first to last hole it took no more than 5 seconds. The timbers were extremely wet but the bit cut through like butter. Excellent product,extremely satisfied

The bit worked beautifully until I accidentally bumped a nail in the wood. Instantly smoked it and rendered it useless.

I was so excited to get this until I used it the first time. I was able to make one and a half holes before it broke off. This is one of the worst products I have ever tried to use. It is absolutely not worth your time to purchase unless you want to Go find a hardware store near you to purchase one that will last. It broke completely in half. I would NEVER buy this product again. Save your money and buy a quality bit. I would definitely give this product 0 stars if it was possible.

This is a good 3/8" x 10" auger bit for wood or other non metal or masonry surfaces. It has a great tip to begin the hole and starts without slipping or moving around. It cuts well throwing out chunks of wood as expected. The width of the bit is printed into the shank of the bit that will fit into any ordinary drill. The included storage container has a hook at the top where you can hang you bit to keep it well organized. They state it is made of carbon steel. I haven't drilled many holes yet but so far it has held its sharpness and should last a while.
