The model is JL VPDB 2000 and made in china, probably by Yuyao Jiali Electronic & Technology Co., Ltd. However the seller , M/s Count On made strategic move by convincing them to make the indian plug and socket version .It has the all 5 protections like high, low voltage cutoff , start up delay, starting check for normal voltage and surge (but not very high energy absorption)Though the response time is not specified, I have practically checked, it is much less than a second . As it has digital display for protection values setting, user can set them. Further the progress of count down delay can be seen hence user friendly. It was sensing voltage 5v higher than actual (2% error). while it is in off condition the passing voltage is 9v ( for my old digitronics unit it is 30v) All above parameters are good compared to its price.It has state of art circuit and components (photo attached) the heat generation is very low, means no energy wastageIt can be work as Voltage monitor in normal voltage conditions.Overall almost never before product and as the Indian grid becomes disciplined, stabiliser may be no longer needed , however this may be needed as it will protect against any accidental high , low voltages or supplies from other sources. The price is reasonable as it included import duties , warranty and any other applicable taxes and quick delivery for small quantities.(Total purchased : 3 no x 10A and 1 no x 16A, the 16A was opened as the set key was not smoothly responding, board aligned and assembled back, now it is ok)They are in service from last three year and three months as on Feb 2023 without any issue.

I have now been using the 6A version of the Voltage protector for about a month and ready to share my views on it. I’m an electrical engineer by education and design my own power supplies for a hobby.That out of the way, the Count_On product attracted my attention because of one indispensable but critical feature - programmable power on delay - which in itself can save a lot of delicate electronic devices from typical power on surges specially in areas prone to frequent power outages or with a DG st based backup power supply. The second most important feature is of course the programmable high and low voltage.That the provided interface is simple and easy to use is a bonus.In terms of operation any such devise at low price point tends to heat up since it has active online electronic modules. I’m happy to report that the heat generation is there but it rarely exceeds 40 degrees (yes i have tools to measure such things at home!) So another plus for this little economical gem.The final plus for me is the quality of the electrical contacts - way better than average and I expect them to last at least a couple of years without tarnishing or rusting.The ABS housing itself is of decent quality for this price - looks fire retardant - that’s a critical yet often overlooked fetaure. I blame the govt for lack public awareness and standards in this regard. The slightly recessed back is designed to accommodate any nearby switches while plugging it in which helps but please consider your application scenario before purchasing.Now for the downsides - really no show stoppers at this price point but the packaging it came in could be better. In an e-commerce world that itself might cause some in damage transit and hence ‘dead on arrival’ type of QC issues.In all I’m happy with this innovative product and can heartily recommend it as a must have electrical safety device.Thank you Count_On team for bringing a reasonable quality innovative product to Indian market!

Update after 6 months of usage:Device failed and created erratic output voltage even though input voltage was a constant 236. I was lucky to remove it before it could have damaged the appliance.This is an excellent product if you want to save power and still use safety cut off.Pros1 Low power usage of just 2W2 Adjust voltage thresholds and delay3 plug and play. No electrician needed4 Decent build qualityCons1 Will not stabilize. This is not a con as it is not intended for this purpose. This is useful if there are ocasional voltage spikes2 The socket is slightly indented and hence large devices cannot be used. However standard 16A plug will enter easily. I was not able to insert my WiFi smart plug which was too big and hit the curvature in the middle.3. No CE or RoHS or ISI certification.Voltage stabilizers are lifeline when power fluctuations are very common and rampant. However they utilise over 20w at no load and up to 100W when they step up or down. They also add harmonics and hence could damage the appliance in the long run . Most voltage stabilizers don't step up or down in smooth intervals. They could end up damaging the appliance. Since this device only cuts off supply, there is no bulk and consumes only 2 W or less.I am yet to test the switching time when voltage drops. I will update this review when voltage drops below 200.

Very good device with poor quality.. The buttons are not working properly...

Wide voltage cover range setting available (150 TO 275, may be more but I did not try) & continuous display of current voltage. Initial piece not defective but unable to use as high voltage cutoff set at 250 & household voltage were 251. So my tv could not start & electrician said defective product. Immediately replaced by Amazon/Count on without any question asked (Thank you Amazon). Next product give clue to high home voltage, upper voltage cutoff set to 260, & product working flawless.
