I use a clipper all the time. It works best that way. But HINT: If your beard is long, be sure all the hair you want to keep is inside the device. (I've ended up with some, er, "interesting" shapes!)

Q: Can I use an electric razor with this product?

Yes you can. I usually just use an electric razor with it. May have to straighten up lines a little bit once you remove the goateesaver, but not much, I think it does a very good job.

Q: Would this work to help keep the hair below the chin straight?

The Goateesaver is designed to be wider under the chin. So It's fair to say it will help keep the hair under the chin straight.

Would be great if such a product is devised for a whole ...

Would be great if such a product is devised for a whole beard and different beard types wherein adjusting the cut as desired and holding the gadget in the mouth would ensure uniformity and symmetry in the beard cut. Please advice if and when such a product is devised.
