I don't know the exact but it looks like a skinny pencil. Hope that helps.

Q: I do not want SHAVED ice, only crushed into smaller pieces. Will it do that?

Yes it crushes, but after a few times you end up with brown pieces of something in your ice, think it's rust. I've dried it after use but that made no difference. I stopped using it and definitely do not recommend it!
