Original Grill Daddy

I highly recommend this, I even purchased a few for friends who have the old style. This holds water so when you scrape the grates on the grill it like steam cleans them way better than anything I’ve ever used before I highly recommend.

What can I say? I bought the product because I had an older version of it for years that I used frequently and was very happy with. I was looking to replace it simply because the bristles had gotten worn down. My original Grill Daddy had been used at least 2-3 times a week over a 12 week period for well over 5 years. That was a lot of use. (We are big grillers in the summer) . This new purchase was such a huge disappointment. Right away the plastic was lighter and flimsier. But I reserved judgement. I considered returning it when quite a number of family members couldn't unscrew the cover to the water well. The old one simply screwed on and off. This one felt like it was being forced and something would crack. When someone was finally able to unscrew it, I decided to keep it and give it a shot. Issue 1: Bristles seem fewer and and are definitely less effective. Scraping my grill didn't yield a good cleaning. I actually went back and used my old/worn down grill daddy and the worn down bristles were more effective. Issue 2: Water is leaking from the well. On 2nd use, the Grill Daddy started leaking!! For now, I have returned to using my old grill daddy and will be researching other products to buy. The quality is simply not here. The effectiveness is simply not here. So no use. I will post this review and then upload some pictures later.

I grill year round so I go through grill brushes at least annually. Living in Wisconsin, I store the brush in the house in between meals so the water doesn't freeze up during the winter months. I have been using this style of brush for several years and I love it. I get the grill up to 400 degrees, flip the lever to release the water to flow to the brush and easily scrub the cooking surface in seconds. Because the grill is so hot, the water immediately evaporates, so I have never had an issue with rust or corrosion. My last grill had porcelain coated grates, and it worked great with them. My new grill is going on four years now and is has cast iron grates, and like the porcelain grates, they clean up in seconds and are ready for cooking the next meal. If you like barbeque on your chicken, but don't want to taste the barbeque on your steak, this brush will scrub the grates clean in seconds! I would recommend this to anyone.

It arrived quickly, in the wrong box. I guess it was telling me I should have bought the Grill Daddy Corner Cleaner. The valve was stuck hard in the open position, so it leaked out all the water right away. I had to use a lubricant to get the knob to move. Now it's fine. This is a cheaply made product that will need to be replaced in a year or two. That said, I love being able to steam clean my grill after I cook. It's fast, easy, and effective.

I previously had an older Grill Daddy grill cleaner that I had used for years. It was great. It did a great job cleaning my grill. When the bristles on the brushes wore out I decided to replace it with the one that I saw on Amazon. This new Grill Daddy cleaner is a piece of junk. Right away I could tell that it was cheaply made with cheap plastic. The valve to turn on and off the water didn’t work properly and it leaked water all over the place. Instead of cleaning with ease; it was a chore to use. I would not recommend this product at all. I would give it Zero stars if I could!

This is my third Grill daddy so far! This is a great product to keep your grill clean. it works just like the ad says it does and I couldn’t be happier. Make sure you don’t keep it too close to your grill or the plastic housing does overheat and could expand that happened with one of my units. Great product and I’d buy it again if I needed to.

This is my second Grill Daddy. My husband purchased our first years ago at a store and it lasted which seemed like forever. We finally lost the cap to the water reservoir and decided it was time for a new one although the old one still worked. I purchased a new one in August for my husband's birthday but he decided to wait until we got a new grill to use it. We finally broke the new one out two weeks ago. The quality is nowhere near that of the original. Although it looks great in the new color black, it is made of a thinner plastic which is fine except this one leaks along the seam. On their own site and other sites they guarantee their product. I tried contacting them through amazon and their own site and have had no reply. It's a shame because I really loved the original product. If you are going to purchase this product I suggest you try it out immediately to see if it leaks. I guess I'll just purchase a standard grill brush and use a spray bottle filled with water. It works just as well without leaking. **Update** I raised my original review from one star to three stars. After about three weeks Grill Daddy contacted me to say they would be refunding my purchase and to order a new brush. I had already purchased a similar product from Cuisinart that I'm happy with so far. I might give it another try in the future since I loved my the original Grill Daddy and customer service upheld their warranty, even though it was very slow.

I have previously purchased and used a Grill Daddy Safety Brush model for a number of years. It worked well until the head wore out. As I live in Australia, I felt that it was cheaper to replace the whole brush than to buy a replacement head. I purchased this unit from Amazon that has the Grill Daddy logo and patent numbers etc, embossed the body leading you to believe that it is the genuine article made in USA. There is a real problem. When you attempt to clean your bbq grill top with this piece of garbage, no water comes out of the head therefore no steam is generated. It is totally useless. I may as well use a cheap wire brush and a spray bottle. It would do a better job. The body is also not watertight and after you fill the unit, it leaks from ill-fitting joints and does not hold the water for very long. If you live outside of USA or Canada, Grill Daddy is not interested in communicating with you or doing business with you. If you buy a this brand of brush from eBay or Amazon, there is a very high probability that you a buying an illegal copy made in Asia. Even the Grill Daddy web site will tell you that.

Hat leider seinen Preis, ist den aber wirklich wert. Allerdings wirklich nur, wenn man das Original kauft. Wir sind bereits zweimal auf nachgemachte Fake-Produkte billigster Machart reingefallen. Da läuft dann das Wasser aus, die Bürsten sind nach einer Nutzung platt usw. Dieser Grilldaddy hält - und ist wirklich super für eine schnelle und unkomplizierte Grillreinigung. Echte Empfehlung für alle Grillfans!

Fait une très bonne job avec l’eau

Geht so, macht sauber aber sehr unhandlich.

J'y ai mis une étoile parce que que je ne pouvais en mettre aucune. Très mauvaise conception. L'eau coule de partout. Le récipient n'est pas étanche. Le nom «Daddy Brosse» nous induit en erreur. C'est une très mauvaise copie du Grill Daddy original. Produit inutile. Je ne peux le retourner car une seule utilisation a endommagé la brosse
