Sterilite Cake Server Circular Serving Container White

I bought this Sterilite cake container/server to use as a pie transport. Although I have plastic pie containers, they are too low to high-domed pies. The cake server I had before this was not wide enough to accommodate my glass Pyrex pie plates because they have small handles on the side. This Sterilite cake server solved my pie transport problems, even if the pie pan does slide a little inside. The bonus is that now I also have a quality container for transporting cakes and keeping them fresh without ruining their tops with plastic wrap. All you have to do is place the cake (or pie) on the tray, cover, and snap the side tabs in place. it's as easy as, ahem, pie. For cakes, I recommend using a cardboard bottom that fits almost exactly to keep the cake from sliding. The plastic construction is lightweight but sturdy. It keeps the cake from drying out without having to crush or ruin the frosting with a covering that touches it. Still, you might want to protect the cut portion with a piece of wrap. This is great to carry cakes or pies to someone else's house or to use for an outdoor party. It doesn't look fancy, but it IS functional.

Am so pleased with this cake server! Holds 24 cupcakes as well as layered cakes & large fruit pies. Also, i store my homemade pumpkin breadd in this! Great product, firm locking mechanism, great price!

Excellent cake carrier. The locking bottom and carry handle make it secure and sturdy for carrying. I use a damp paper towel under the cake plate to keep the cake from sliding during transport. Well designed.

Good product for a low price

Cake making is just my hobby, I don’t do cakes very often, just for friends or family. I didn’t want to buy a big pack of disposable boxes, considering that I’m making cakes just 2-3 times a year anyway... So I searched for something long lasting that I’d buy one time. This is the biggest cake carrier I could find on Amazon! While a bit on the pricey side, the size of it makes it worth the $. It easily fits 4 layer 8” cake! There’s even extra space. What’s good: - great quality, seems very sturdy, snap closures are working well; - the lid locks into place and fits tightly, doesn’t dry out cake by letting air in; - spacious enough to fit a variety of items, can fit up to 11” wide and 5,5” high cakes. - functions well as a display piece; - neutral color and matte finish. What I wish was different: - the bottom part of the container has weird bump that pops up in the middle, which makes the surface (where you place a cake) not evenly flat! I tried pushing it down, but nothing changed. I placed a cake board first and then a cake on top of it, it was alright because my cake was heavy. But if I made soufflé or mousse - I don’t know how would that go...🤔 It could deform it. I guess it is manufacture defect (I’ll be replacing mine); - takes too much storage space. There are collapsible cake containers, but they’re not nearly as big as this one. So I chose size over convenience; - you can’t carry it by handle. Bottom line: It is a good, very functional product and it meets all my needs for transporting cakes. It’s roomy enough for large cakes or pies, keeps them secure and in the perfect condition. I like this carrier and have received compliments on it as well! Giving it 4 stars just for the hassle with replacing because of the defect. I hope this helps!

I bought this for my grandson’s birthday cake. Don’t let the inexpensive price fool you- this is a great cake holder for small, medium, and even large cakes. I made a checkerboard cake and had plenty of extra room. Life is precious and should be celebrated and I plan to use this cake carrier for as long as I can bake.

I have looked for cake server for a while. I've had my Rubbermaid one for a ton of years and over time, well it's time for a burial. so, I saw this one and took the chance. and it's actually pretty nice. So, first time I use it I will let you know how it fairs........

This cake server is of excellent quality and has multiple uses. It it spacious enough to fit larger cakes (the one on the picture is 9" and there is plenty of room left for larger items). It provides an excellent storage container to keep cakes and other pastry moist and fresh. The bottom part can be used as a cake plate or other food serving tray since the silver plastic side handles are removable. It is made of thick material and is very sturdy. The cover can be secured safely in place, which makes it excellent for carrying cakes. While the price was low, the product doesn't look cheap.

Its better than expected ans can easily carry a 10 inch layered cake in it with no damage and the pricing is spot on.

I was really pleased to get this tall, wide, sturdy and strong cake carrier. I can fit a tall cake with a plate, and the two side clips solidly shut the sides securely. The color is white opaque. It’s a nice, useful and substantial looking item. Definitely recommend owning one!
