Love is the greatest commandment.
My oldest son bought the book years past and I had to read it. I held your book in my hands before reading it and was in tears. I told my son that your book is so anointed by God. When I started reading your book I cried and cried through the whole book. I didn't want to put it down. God has blessed you with His Glory and anointing. I just bought my own copy and will read it once again. I will be buying more of your books. God bless you Heidi. Keep writing please. I love you and I hope to meet you one day. 💕💕💕

Don't read this unless you want to love people
Although you won't find it in the periodic chart, love is the most important element in the world. Jesus said that the two great commandments are to love God and to love our fellow man as ourselves. We as Christians talk a lot about the concept of love, but do we actually practice it? Is our love selective so we pour it all out on those we find loveable? I sometimes think that many people don't even have a concept of the true nature of love. The Bakers certainly don't fall into that category. The selfless love which they have poured out on the downtrodden people of the world is inspirational in the most humble of terms. In reading of their great compassion and caring for everyone they encounter, I saw in stark contrast my inability to measure up to the Lord's standard. To whom much is given, much is expected. Heidi Baker has been given a mighty dose of God's love. She has been faithful to reciprocate in giving back that love not only to God but to the least of his children. As result, God's miraculous provision has been bestowed upon the Baker family and their ministry time and time again. They daily walk in the miraculous while the majority of Christians would be hard pressed to point out one definitive miracle that they've witnessed in their walk. Everything Works by Love
This book popped up as advertisement, but after purchasing it and reading it, I know it was a book I was supposed to read. Heidi Baker is the epitomy of love. It oozes off the pages of this book. I am compelled to the point of dying more to myself, and God loves manifesting thru my life. By faith I am there, but this is were the scripture: "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling". I know that anything done apart from love profits nothing. I now have a new perspective of love in action. You have to totally die to any aspirations of your own, and put on the Lord Jesus Christ in love, truly seeing everyone through the eyes of LOVE (Jesus). This will bring about a change in you. I ask God daily to change me, and I give Him permission to do so. Father has not asked us to do anything beyond our ability from and thru Him. We have no excuse not to walk in love. I am determined to be LOVE to everyone I meet and see, extending Jesus. I have sown this book in the lives of others, knowing that whatever I sow or make happen for others, I will receive from LOVE Himself. A must read. It challenges you to increase in our love walk.

The finest example of a missionary.
This is the real story of the very real Jesus Christ at work in Mozambique. This is Christianity at it's finest. This is Heidi and Rolland Baker's work in that country and around the world, where they are constantly at work. This is the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapter 5, the New Testament) lived out. Did you think, like I did, that it was an impossible scripture to live? Are you tired of bible studies, (always learning and never doing,) or listening to people tear down other people's ministries for no reason but to defend their own narrow belief systems? Here is a book to challenge you to higher thinking and living. Like the Bible, you may need to read it more than once to get it, really get it, that's what I think! Get on a positive track and emulate this woman, if you dare. It will take your all and give you back more than you can think or dream of. If you are a Christian, please read it. If you are not a Christian, but want to know what love is, please read it. If you have a scientific mind and doubt the power of love, please read it. If you have a heart for the poor, please read it. Absolutely eye opening, challenging, capturing. What a great book!

This book is quite beautifully written and is able to illustrate the Beatitudes with Heidi's life experiences in becoming the embodiment of love through her relationship with Christ. Each chapter takes and examines the next verse. It has helped me so much practically and in my own understanding of those scriptures and their application. Heidi shows the truth of how miracles can blossom up in the most desperate of times and environments.

Heidi Baker's book has had a massive impact on my wife and I and has really made us question our complacency and commitment as followers of Christ. Taking the Beatitudes as a central theme, this book shows that living out the values of the Sermon on the Mount can be a powerful and liberating reality. Drawing heavily also on Mother Teresa's writings and example, it models for us the true power of 'a life laid down' for Jesus. As the Bakers minister in Mozambique amongst some of the poorest people on the planet, the power and love and compassion of Jesus is made manifest. Some of the miracles that Heidi describes taking place are so far removed from our own experience that it forces us to re-evaluate our own expectations of God. This book shows the reader that the power of Love, the power of the risen Christ, continues to triumph over the deep darkness of poverty, sickness, corruption and satanic ritual. It has rocked me and quickened in me a deep desire to simply love and not to count the cost. I felt that Jesus walked with me as I read this wonderful book, opening wide my eyes - I believe you will meet him too within its pages.
