Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower

i think this game is awesome it has good depth to it and its down right fun. its by far one of the best fighter I'v ever played the only challenge i had to get over was was the d-pad on the PSP to me it dose not work the best for fighters like this because it wouldn't always respond for me at first. but if u can get over that fact and u have the patience for the loading screens (it takes a little bit to load the next area) i think u love this game as much as i do.

this is the first game ive gotten for the psp because i only got my psp a week ago and I'd have to say for a 2d fighter its pretty cool the combos are hardcore the super moves are sweet and the game play is..desent. Its not hard to figure out the controls once your used to them, use training mode first you'll see what I mean. And beating the game is very easy exept the last boss, he's a little tougher. The illistrations you unlock throuh tower mode are also a big bonus. I havent unlocked any movies though, but hey, I've only played the game for 4 hours so it'll take some time. If you liked dark stalkers for playstation and have a psp get this game it will be worth it.

Good day there. I have to say when I first played this game on my old PSP which was the original when it first came out, I was frustrated with the d-pad to perform the moves because most of the time, it wouldn't recognize the input at times. Now with my PSP-Slim I have to say this game is great now because the d-pad is better able to recognize the special moves and now I don't have to pray on the moves being performed.The animation is nice and I have to say the soundtrack is awesome, I love the japanese voice-overs as well, giving the characters some nice personality. Overall, great game :)

Wasn’t even what I ordered. It was a completely different game. And it didn’t even work!

Lets be honest here, I have been playing fighting games since Street Fighter was released in the arcades, and I am talking about the first one in the mid 1980s. Then of course the titanic Street Fighter 2 came out and changed the face of fighting games forever in around 1991. Well anyways it introduced a system of special moves that required fancy joystick movements and a series of button presses to pull off. The fighting genre was nothing but punches and kicks until SF2 came out. Well after the success of SF2 CAPCOM made Darkstalkers (Vampire Savior in Japan), which fused those special moves with over the top monsters from hollywood films like the wolfman, mummy, etc. with that special CAPCOM styling. It is an awesome series and in some ways I like it much better than SF2. But herein lies the problem with the PSP treatment, as much as I try to love this game for the rare gem it is, I can't. The control system was not tweeked enough back at CAPCOM to make it function properly with the PSP digital pad (directional pad), and thus we are left with essentially a button mashing mess. I am sure some will be unable to see past this flaw but when you are talking abut taking out the very foundation of a game series, in this case special moves, then you are left with a shell of what could have been the best 2D fighter ever released on a handheld system. It pains me to say that but it is true and I think if your honest with yourself you will appreciate that I hate it that this game didn't turn out well because of something so fundamental. CAPCOM please be wary next time!

Very good for old school gamers. But before you buy the game pay attention to the size of your memory, the game needs only 128K to create a save file, but it will display a message to you saying that there is not enough space. This problem exited in street fighter alpha 3 max for psp , because your memory in bigger than 1GByte. To solve this issue you need to fill you memory card and leave less than 1GByte of empty space so the game could create the save file and then you can empty your memory card or you can download from the internet a save file for the game.

One of my favorite video games EVER. Street Fighter meets Darkwatch is how to describe it. Choose from a list of multiple characters to martial arts style fight your opponent(s). Imagine Catwoman versus a vampire or similar to that(although Catwoman is not on this game, a similar character is). Imagine a zombie punk rocker with an axe that doubles as a guitar and your character has to fight him. You now get the idea. Again, this is one of my favorite video games EVER.

The case, book, and disk were in mint condition. The game plays great with no issues whatsoever. It's an awesome addition to my gaming collection.
