Good product
I use this on our swimming pool filter, they work perfectly but they don't survive Minnesota winters and I keep forgetting to remove it, I keep one on hand inside!

Quality Reliable Brand
Really nice quality. Spend the money, avoid the cheap stuff. Liquid filled is perfect for fluid applications where flow turbulence causes indicator flutter.

Great Quality. Glycerin Bubble May Interfere With Reading Gauge
I purchased this to serve as the air pressure gauge on my offroad tire air-up/air-down manifold. In use, the gauge will be held at about a 30 degree angle. At that angle, the glycerin bubble meniscus sits directly over the tire pressure range I'll be using and interferes with reading the gauge. Pros: - Beautiful quality. Feels heavy in the hand. Threads are clean and well formed. The stainless steel bezel is really nice. - It has a brass relief pin on top that can be pulled up to equalize pressures after installation. - The 0-60 psi range allows for more precise tire pressure measurement in the 15 psi to 32 psi range. - The glycerin is nice and thick, so it doesn't slosh or create excess bubbles. Cons: - As is the case with most liquid-filled gauges, there's a significant air bubble. In my case, this bubble interfered with quickly reading the scale in the 15-20 psi range. Sure, I could hold the gauge at a different angle, wait for the bubble to reposition, and wait for the glycerin to flow out of the way, but I don't want to deal with that when I need to quickly read the gauge. Consider this drawback before you determine if this is appropriate for your application. It's a great quality gauge but it would sure be nice if Winters would fill up the gauge with glycerin as much as possible (to the limit necessary to allow expansion) so that the air bubble is as small as possible.

Liquid filled pressure gauge
So far so good, I am still testing these, it is all about how long they last.

Using This Gauge for Engine Compression Testing
I finally got to install and use this product. I used it to replace a cylinder pressure gauge in a gas engine test rig. The old gauge had gotten a bit out of calibration, and this one was spot-on test after test. My only complaint is that I could not find this gauge with 1/8" male pipe threads in a 0 - 300 psi scale. However, both 1/8" and 1/4" threads are small enough that using a couple of fittings to adapt this gauge to my test rig changed the size only slightly. In doing some online research, I could not ascertain a dominant opinion on the use of a liquid filled versus dry gauge for gas engine compression testing and chose to try this liquid filled gauge, It worked very well, and I am satisfied with the consistency and accuracy of test results.
