Best Camera I have ever used.
The Leica V-lux is an amazing camera. It can be used by photographers at all levels of skill with greta results. The telephoto lens is amazing out to 400 mm and stabilization is great. I have used Nikons in the past but this is so much lighter and easier to use. The pictures are better and I don't worry about crap on the mirror from changing lens. It is such a capable camera that we are only start to touch the surface of its abilities. Well done Leica. !!!

Marvelous albeit a quirky camera
I have owned and shot with a lot of hefty Canons and Nikons and quite enjoyed them. I purchased the Leica beacuse I wanted a lightweight travel camera with the general wide and tele versatility. The Leica performs splendidly. I typically shoot at 1200 ISO or higher and the noise appears to be a bit pronounced. The images are crisp when focused but switching functions is not the easiest. I have to press a Function button, shift the dial that open up an entire SLBM launch control sequence, then choose the correct function to switch my ISO (among other functions). Perhaps there are easier ways to tackle the issue but it is devilishly complicated getting through the manuscript of the manual. Some other quirks are with image orientation and a sudden blank viewfinder (a quick on/off toggle fixes the issue). Finally, the body feels a bit fragile, perhaps inexpensive. Anyway, a lot of splendid features with a few quirks.

Superb Quality and Service
Prompt delivery! Great pdf explanation on operations, a lot of camera at fair price, light weight and easy to use. Just a real good camera for mid- level user. I thought I would be intimidated by digital but no I am very pleased with ease of use and extraordinary capability. I am 72 and plan to use camera in Mongolia hike 2022. Thanks. CHC

The color of the LCD in the viewfinder isn't the best, having a tent of blue that has messed ...
expected more from a brand that has a rep of being high quality in building cameras. This one feels very cheap and not what I expected. Its not weather resistant so don't plan on taking this out if you live near moisture, the beach etc, The image quality is a little disappointing. The view finder is taking sometime to get use too. The color of the LCD in the viewfinder isn't the best, having a tent of blue that has messed with the judging of my settings to take a picture. The Pluses are you have a all in one camera with a great lens. easy to carry around. does inspirer creativity. The grip and feel is okay has a somewhat of a solid feel but gives the feeling of being a cheaper end camera. Battery life isn't that impressive. charged full first. Did test shots and was at half charge by the time I was done after an hour of use. I did switch back and forth looking at images and using the camera to see its capability. I like it because its a Leica but don't know if it lives up to the name.

The camera was fine. I took nice pictures with it
I purchased the camera on December 19. The camera was fine. I took nice pictures with it. But, then, I dropped it & cracked/chipped the lens. Sent it to Leica who said that the parts for repair are no longer available. That makes no sense to me given that I purchased it 8 months ago.

Top notch camera producing excellent results for it's class
Top notch camera producing excellent results for it's class. Important to realize it is not a professional DSLR but is very good as a bridge camera. Really impressed with the video and focusing. Easy to carry and use. Good quality pictures for general use.I would give it a five star rating but I noticed that at 400mm the images area not as sharp as with my Nikon lens; then again, it is no where as expensive as my Nikon lens. At any rate I would recommend this camera.

Love this camera
What I wish? that it was a touch screen. It takes fabulous shots at 3200 and 6400 ISO and I have to work a lot at this level without flash. I find the in camera light meter to be extremely accurate. My images nee little post processing. I can now take one camera instead of a body with numerous lenses. I use my Canon SLR now only for macro. The macro in the Leica isn't as good as a dedicated macro lens. Great camera for travel and for street photography. But when I am traveling I cover up the Leica name with black electrical tape.

Epic
I have had so many cameras but this is definitely the best I own. It's like a photographer swiss-knife. It performs very well even at higher ISOs, it's a superfast focus, the viewfinder is superb. The only drawbacks is that it's not tropicalized, and F closes maximum to 8.0.
