Original BBQ Sauce, 36 oz

I bought this sauce on a whim for weekend grilling, and it pleasantly surprised me. The flavor is smoky and slightly sweet, without being overpowering. It clings well to chicken and ribs, and caramelizes nicely on the grill. Pros: balanced taste, good thickness, and affordable price. Cons: a bit salty for my taste, and the bottle cap gets messy. It is not the most complex sauce I have tried, but it works great for everyday meals and picky eaters. I would buy it again. Packaging feels sturdy, and shipping arrived faster expected!

I’ve been watching my mother sugar intake because of her health condition so this brand has become a staple in our home. She loves the flavor as well.

I ordered this and before it came I found them at a foods Co. Which is a Kroger store, and yep they're the smaller bottle and they more expensive certainly. So I bought the spicy one and guess what? It's okay but then I got the real deal here and I'll tell you what this is the best barbecue sauce I've ever tasted. I'm for health reasons adverse to barbecuing but the sauce is good on store-bought pre-cooked chicken. It's good with rice and veggies and some ribs. It's good even when you add like a salmon salad to it. Oh heck this is good stuff. Take a chance! Let your gold teeth roll.

Taste good, a little spicy. Not super thick or thin.. great value size for the cost. Needs to be a bit sweeter to balance out the spicy.

Have been looking for a tasty, low-sugar barbeque sauce to use on meats. We eat a lot of ground turkey as a substitute for beef. Discovered if you put sauces or seasonings on it, you can't tell the difference. Love to make a sloppy joe of ground turkey, green pepper, onions and barbeque sauce on a toasted whole grain bun. Found this barbeque sauce at Amazon and ordered it for Christmas. It is deliciously tangy, not too sweet, and a thinner sauce than some of the thick ones. We love it. Saw that Open Pit barbeque sauce lists corn syrup as its primary ingredient. This has less than .5% of corn syrup, and it has no high fructose corn syrup which nutritionists advise against. It is low in sugar at 4g per serving of 2 tablespoons which is 25 calories. The company info says it contains NO high fructose corn syrup: "Stubb prided himself on making the best barbecue around, and he knew that the only way to do that was to use nothing but quality ingredients. That's why Stubb's line of sauces, marinades and rubs are made right with quality, gluten free ingredients, and contain no high fructose corn syrup." Here's the ingredients list: Water, Tomato Paste, Cane Sugar, Distilled Vinegar, Molasses, Tapioca Dextrin, Salt, Brown Sugar, Spices, non-GMO Corn Starch, Contains less than 0.5% of: Onion, Paprika, Garlic, Chile Powder, Natural Smoke Flavor, Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum, Corn Syrup, Tamarind. This Original flavor is our favorite flavor of Stubbs so far. We are trying them all. We like to dip meat balls in it, too.

This BBQ sauce is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had! It has the perfect balance of smoky, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors without being overly sugary like some other brands. Stubbs bbq sauce is 30 calories per serving and one of the least caloric, lower in sugar bbq sauces you’ll find on Amazon. It is somewhere between Carolina and Texas style sauces meaning it is runny in a similar way to Open Pit but more fully flavored and not with OP’s vinegary taste. This IS as vinegar based sauce but it is relatively tame compared to traditional Carolina sauces plus it is thicker. The taste, for me, was an adjustment from sugary sauces such as Sweet Baby Rays or Robinsons (not available here) which are Chicago style sauces. That said, I love this stuff. It goes with any meat and works well in concert with recipes you might not think, Thai and other foods. It pairs well with crushed red pepper sauces for example. After getting used to less sugar it is my go to bbq sauce. It also convinced me to re-examine how much sugar there is in food (sarcastic spoiler - a lot) which has changed how I choose to eat. And I loved sugary things so if I can eat healthier anyone considering can too. This is a good food to start. It still has a good amount of sugar but is the lowest amount I’ve found in bbq sauces, and to emphasize, it tastes good.

It came to me busted and it cut my finger

Stubb's is legendary, it's not the cheapest but it sure has a great flavour and consistency. This was my first time trying any of Stubb's products and was very pleased. I will definitely order again. Great Sauce.

My family loves this sauce, it makes others seem bland.
