Q: How thick is the fuel line? 1/4 inch? 1/2 inch?

1/4". I found this carb was not an exact replacement for the original and had to make modifications using parts from the old carb. Chock assembly was the biggest issue. Good luck and save your old hose clamps as the ones included with the new card are really poor quality.

Q: How does the fuel solenoid wire into the shutdown system? i purchased a used generac gp5500 and someone monkeyed with the wiring.

One side goes to ground and the other goes to the key switch . When you turn the key to start the solenoid gets -12 dc volts from the battery , retracts or allows fuel in the carburator jet. Then when you turn the key to stop the engine from running , at that the voltage is removed from the solinoid , shutting the carburator from getting more fuel while the engine is shutting down , not allowing BACKFIRE !! Hope it helps !!

I have absolutely no idea. Were I YOU I would google Carburator repair kit or replacement for your Generator's Make and model number. If THIS kit comes up in your search then it will, but I highly doubt it.

I would input the model number n than carburator . Than you can compare the pic w ur carburator . Yoy can also read the reviews which always do. I look for a 4 or 5 star !!! Hope it helps !! God Bless
