Cross Embossed Solid Brass PYX with Drawstring Burse - Holds 8 Hosts - 2" Dia x 3/4" H

The first Pyx I ordered also with a cross (PS022) came with surprisingly sharp metal edges. I called Amazon and asked for a replacement. The replacement came the same way, sharp and not safe to be handled specially by the priest. This third one that I got is beautiful and looks sturdy. It has no scratch and came in a nice container with a drawstring. Size is also perfect!

I am totally impressed by this pyx. I'm starting a new ministry at our parish to visit our homebound and institutionalized church members, so I'm creating sick-call kits for our team members. This pyx is perfect. The hinged lid has a clasp that catches nicely and won't allow for accidental spillage, so the Holy Eucharist will be safe during transport. It is deep enough to hold six or seven Hosts. It comes with a black leather burse with a long enough strap to wear it around the neck and keep the pyx safely tucked against one's body. AND THIS PYX IS NOT LINED WITH PLASTIC! In the event that a pyx gets soiled somehow, it is difficult to wash them if they are lined with plastic. Water gets trapped behind the plastic lining, and you can't get it out. Our parish priest specified that he wanted a pyx without a liner. It is a lovely pyx, approved by our priest, and it didn't break the bank to order five of them. I cannot yet speak to the durability of this pyx, but I honestly don't think I will ever regret this purchase.

We've been using this quite a bit and it's better quality than some of the ones they have at church. Great buy for the price!

I purchased this for my son to bring his low-gluten host to Mass. It's solid and good for the price. My only complaint is that a drawstring burse is included in the description, but does not actually come with the pyx. It's not a big deal for us, but don't expect it.

It looks and works great. Good, sturdy construction.
