It only lasts for a couple of seconds but he has teeth like a guillotine! Previously leads have been damaged in seconds. I got fed up replacing the same brand. So, I did a bit of research and BAAPET had a good name for more durable leads. He's grabbed onto it a few times and not left a mark on it. I'm not saying it's chew proof, I'm sure he could destroy it if left unchecked. Bulls pride themselves in destroying the indestructible. But while you're training your dog not to chew on the lead, by distraction with treats or whatever? This is up to the job imo. Its well made, I can't see any shoddy workmanship or cheap inferior parts. The rope is thick but flexible and as I say, has been between his back teeth and come out unscathed. The clip is big and robust with a good strong spring, first thing that I checked. Handle is comfortable, sleeved with soft padding. Joins look well secure and fixed with hard plastic guards. I chose orange to compliment his dark Brindle coat. It's loud! But I like it. Update. I've bought 2 more while at a cheaper price. If I don't need them I'll pass them on. I have faith in this lead. Review: Very attractive, perfect fit for a grown Labrador !

I love these leashes. The first one I ordered probably a year ago and the second one I ordered a couple of weeks ago. I can see compared to the older version that the company made improvements to the leash’s durability. The connection points on the leash are reinforced with a plastic casing that snaps shut instead of just slips on. My dogs don’t chew leashes so I can’t truly speak to that, but I can say that my wrist pain is gone! Even with having two of these thicker handles my wrist no longer feels like it’s been pulled out of socket. The padding of the handle is truly the biggest blessing! It’s also fairly reflective and easy to see in the dark, which was a huge concern for me! I also like the size of the leash for my medium dogs, it’s just right
