Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S,Xbox One X and Windows 8/8.1/10

I bought this to use with my nephew because we like playing a dancing game on my Xbox. It was very easy to set up (and I'm very easily frustrated with technology). It is quite bulky, but I only have it out when we are playing the game and the material doesn't feel cheap like other off-brand devices. It worked like a charm and we had an amazing time playing. As for longevity of the product, I cannot yet say. But I can say that it was a great out-of-box experience! :)

Update: I contacted the seller directly. I told them how I had determined through extensive troubleshooting that the device was faulty. They replied back only to confirm my name and shipping address, then I received a replacement from them a few days later. The replacement works perfectly. A great company to purchase from, and although my original item stopped working the new one works great. Original review: This worked fine, then stopped functioning. The lights on the device work but it no longer powers on the Kinect. Do not waste your money on it. My biggest regret is that it stopped working 5 days after the return window closed.

Works as expected. Much less expensive than buying the OEM version and the company seems eager to ensure that the product lives up to expectations. It took me only a few minutes to set up. As the Xbox one x doesn't have a kinect port, this adapter uses USB for connecting it but also has its own power supply. I've had it for two weeks and so far no issues.

I am very happy with how easy this is to use. I’ve been holding on to an older but rarely used Xbox one Kinect camera just in case. My daughter who is 6 wanted an Xbox for just dance. This is the best thing for making it work. So simple to use. The only downside, would jut be cable management. I hate receiving electronics without cable Velcro, these cords are very long and in the way. But easily fixed with management. Slick adapter. Plug and play! Works great so far!

It works as advertised and I can used my kinnect from my pc or Xbox Series X.

Purchased this back in January of this year, then realized I couldn't find the Kinect which has been in storage for a few years after updating to the One S and X. Found it recently, tried it out and it doesn't work on the new systems. Tells me to restart multiple times but never turned the Kinect on. Placed in the USB port in the back by the HDMI input workes perfectly.

I don't really like giving low reviews but I just had to on this one. It's just a big waste of time and is a product that makes you think it MIGHT work but not really. For me the time wasted on this was just not worth the chance and this product has converted me to stick with official items. It costed time for my kids to play on kinect and my time for trying to solve it. Because I kept telling myself I'll look into it and fix it somehow. Initially, I bought one from ebay last year. I didn't think much I connected it to kinect to make sure it works and didn't look into it then. Several months later I decided it was time for my kids to play with kinect. I tried to work it and.. disconnect. Constantly. Like every 10-15 seconds. And I was past the return or dispute time. Thats an Andrew Jackson down the toilet. I decided to take another gamble and buy it on amazon just in case I got a lemon from ebay. I really wanted my kids to enjoy the kinect and all the games I purchased for it so my purpose was just getting it to work without disconnecting. When amazon order came, again it disconnects. All this time past and I decided to aggressively pursue this issue. Why is the kinect constantly disconnecting? Was it lighting? Was it my room too small? Do I need to move my furniture? Do I need to figure out the AC sign signal? Reboot my console? Reboot and disconnect device and then replug into console? (Yes I looked into ALL these solutions). The problem I have with products like this is that it *appears* to work just enough to get some (if not many) consumers to just not checking. I believe its a big enough market for profit with many consumer ducks (I'll call myself that). I really wanted this to work, I really did. It does connect to the kinect but disconnects frequently to the point of not being usable. For me it was every 10-30 seconds from two separate sellers. And of course I went to the microsoft forum to read about this issue and they were confused as well with many hypothesus and confusion. I am 100% it's the this adapter cutting out critical components. I think if you are proficient with electronics and want to dabble in it maybe this can be a project you can figure out how to make this work in a DIY project (you will likely have to really understand electronics as I read a few theories). As of now I bought the OFFICIAL xbox kinect adapter at a much more expensive price and it works solid. Kids are enjoying some exercise games. 3 red lights showed and the kinect does not disconnect, not even once. Save yourself the headache, save yourself the time. Don't waste your time with this third party product. If you are a tinkerer maybe you want to play with it but if you are just wanting kinect to work buy the *official* adapter if you can get your hands on one. At this time, going for $50-$100, maybe higher as its getting more difficult to acquire.
