I make a lot of sourdough bread for my family, loaves that typically have dark, hard, and crunchy crusts. I've found that as I work through a typical one-kilo loaf using a standard bread knife, cutting the remaining loaf into edible slices gets harder as the loaf gets smaller. Twice in the last year I sliced my finger instead, requiring stitches both times. So I bought this machine hoping to avoid any more trips to the ER. And it works beautifully! This is the ideal machine for slicing tough, hard, crusty loaves into thin sandwich-sized pieces safely and easily. Works every time. This is the best addition to my bread-making kitchen in years. I have no negative comments, if fact. If you regularly cut up homemade or artisan breads, especially those with hardened or even stale crusts, this device works perfectly every time. Wonderful machine!

I love this bread slicer! It slices my sourdough loaves cleanly and evenly with minimal effort. This is so much better than a regular bread knife. It’s also miles better than an electric knife, which tends to chew through the bread. This slicer is well made and worth every penny!

I wish I would have found this earlier in my life! It makes slicing bread so much easier. I select the thickness and every single slice is exact and perfect. The suction is very strong. The design is perfect, well made and will last forever. Great value for the money.

Fantastic slicer. It works as I was hoping. Slicing is so easy without smashing bread. Nice even slices. The slicer doesn't slide on the counter as the suction cups keep the unit secure.

So I automatically associated the higher price of some of the competitors for this type of product as an indication for the product being good or not. However, most of the reviews on this particular brand were good. It got delivered and after a quick, SAFE wipe down of the slicer, I got right to using it! And let me tell you! I wish I had ordered one sooner! Cutting sour dough loaves can be a hassle and getting even slices has been so difficult by hand! This made me sigh with relief as I proceeded to cut 3 whole sour dough loaves within a matter of minutes! CAREFULLY THOUGH! This product’s does have a sharp blade, so be cautious when cutting. Slow and steady wins the race with anything that has a sharp blade. This product’s size is ideal, it doesn’t take up too much counter space. Suction cups stay suctioned for the most part. Its cut quality is amazing! Slicing ability is great! Blade sharpness, haven’t had a problem, cuts well! The wooden handle bit was a bit loose but nothing that can’t be stabilized or fixed by my husband. I have only had this product for a few days, but would so far rate it a 9/10. OMG OMG OMG! I love this so much! It cuts so easily, like my sourdough loaves are butter. I honestly cant get over how impressed I am with this and recommend it 1000x over. I do like the compact size, seems pretty sturdy. I do think the bottom board could be a little bigger to fit your loaf better, but then it wouldn't be so compact. Love the guiding arm on the side, keeps the slices from getting caught in the handle. And it sliced my loaf so freaking fast! Super lightweight too. Couldn't ask for a better little slicer!

Works great!! Easy to use and clean. Uniform slices. No plastic like my old slicer. Buy this!! Also the suction cups work great!
