Bought one of these to cram into a meshtastic enclosure and it is absolutely MINI! This thing can't be bigger than the size of a nickle, yet it's able to connect to just as many satellites as my other modules?! That's insane to me. For the price and size, I am not sure it can really be beat, at least as far as modules you can get off of Amazon. Definitely worth it. LEDs on the back of the antenna are very bright and easily shine through 3D printed plastic (if that's your thing). Wiring to the module was already done out of the box, I just snipped off the grove connector and hooked it up directly to a Heltec V3. Been running that combo with a 2000mah battery for a few days now with about 20% battery remaining, shockingly so I feel the power consumption is a little better than the other boards I was using before. Super worth it for the size, cost and performance of this little guy!

Locks 8 sats in my 1st of 3 floor condo, in Alaska. Have 4 of these installed on my FPV quads and they all work perfectly. They are a little slow when they first try to connect in a new area. They usually take around 2 to 3 minutes for it to lock in 7+ sats (i can fly on 5 but have it set up to only arm on 7+ locks). once it locks them for the first time, it can reconnect within a few seconds after power cycling my quads. I consistently have 12 to 17 satellites locked at all times outside. I have never had it drop signal or fail. So far, I could not be happier with my purchases. In fact I'm on here right now with the intent to purchase two more, and I figured that since it is such a good product that I should give it a review....so here we are.

Recommend, good quality, small size and weight, basic functional as a big GPS module, but small enough to put it on a 3inch drone. Just watch if the price not too high, buy it. I bought for 18$, but I think this would be better for 12$ or 15$.

First off. This thing is tiny. Makes it perfect for placing it on 3 inch quads and other smaller freestyle drones. The small size also means lighter weight which is great for racing, and just saving weight in general. As far as performance, I've been pleasantly surprised. So far I haven't encountered any issues, in fact it picks up and holds around 16 satellites whenever Ive flown. The HGL M80 Pro, which I use one another quad, averages around 7-8 satellites during a flight. The only thing that could be better is that the QR code to get to the instruction manual doesn't work and takes you to some sketchy website that my virus software didn't like at all. If they would just include a printed instruction sheet I'd be much more happy. You'd think they would have links to the manual on their website, but I couldn't find anything like that. All in all though, once you figure out how to set this thing up, it's awesome and I highly recommend it.
