I happened to order this product before reading the reviews. After seeing the reviews I preemptively started a return before I even received the product. I received the product and am happy to report the tension issue no longer exists. Tighten as much as possible, the connection to the monitor and cold shoe. After that adjust the tension hex screws and it works great. Used all day and it never came loose. The v1.3 is a refined product and not the one you see in the top reviewer's video. I'm glad it shipped before I had the opportunity to cancel the order. An absolute steal at this price point

Works great! I was looking for a monitor mount sub $50. And have tried multiple arms the shogun inferno is pretty heavy. But this one works amazing. You can tighten it and it articulates forward and back and stays when you let go. Also! It rotates which I didnt know until I got it

Good quality material. Perfect tension both 180 and 360 turning.However, when I put my Atomos Shinobi 7 with a NP-F970, the 360 rotating loosen with every turn. No way to adjust to a proper tension and stay. I guess I hit its weigh limitOne design issue, the the top part is too low. When unscrew the monitor, the screw would be stopped by the bottom part before it is retracted from the monitor. So I have to twist the monitor to dismount.

This little gizmo is very expensive for what it does compared to others out there that pretty much do the same thing at a fraction of the price. But I have to admit that this mount is heads and tails better in quality and function than anything else I’ve used to mount a Zoom recorder onto my Canon DSLR. It actually keeps the recorder in position instead of allowing it to rotate all over the place like standard mounts have done. The little plastic case and driver set it comes with are pretty much useless to me, but I suppose they were included to try to add perceived value to the purchase.

On first glance it looks like a solid piece of kit. TOO solid! I literally could not budge the angle adjustment or the swivel adjustment, and I could not budge the angle adjustment screws - which means that I could not access the swivel adjustment screw.Since the return window closed and I had nothing to lose, I chucked it into a soft-jaw vise and tried an extra-long 3mm Allen wrench. (photo) I was able to loosen one of the angle adjustment screws, and then access the swivel adjustment screw, and now I am able to adjust tilt and swivel.With all those preliminaries out of the way, I mounted it on my camera rig and mounted a 5" monitor. So far, it works just fine. It's small, unobtrusive, and has a low-profile. It stays where you put it once the screws are tight enough.It is well-made from quality materials.The included plastic case is a nice touch. There's plenty of room for other small tools, screws, and other bits and pieces of your camera cage rig.It would have gotten four stars if I was able to adjust the tilt and swivel screws out of the box with the provided Allen wrench.Final thoughts: it will do the job, and it's one of the least expensive units of its type, but you may have to clamp it to something and use extra leverage to adjust the screws initially.

There are many details that make this monitor mount my new favorite:-high quality, all metal design-rubber padding on the mounting point so the monitor doesn't slip-it comes with a M3 hex driver that you can poke into the screw to tighten it all the way (very nice design!)-the hot shoe side also has thumb grips to help you tighten itOverall i really like this mount, will definitely recommend!

Good for slight monitor movements.

My grandson reviewed many of these items and chose this one for it's great information provided. He has been using it for years now without any problems
