The Secret Zoo Paperback – December 28, 2010

My son and I loved reading this book before bed. It was great! He was so excited that there was a book 2. We start that one tomorrow.

Bought this for my grandchild who lives out-of-the-country and loves to practice and read in English. She just fell in love with this book on our visit, so I'd say it is a hit!

I am 8 years old and this book was very interesting and energetic, exciting, and awesome. Podgy the penguin was my favorite. I can’t wait to read more!

My son is nearly five, he loves books. He isn’t reading yet, so I read this to him exhaustively in three days. My throat hurts so bad. The text is very small print, and it was very very long. The descriptions were a bit confusing at times.

I bought as gifts to my Grandsons who is an avid reader. He loved the series

Birthday present arrived on time and 7-year old loved it. Had to have Daddy help reading it a bit. She'll grow into later books in the series.

I don't like the part where Megan is kidnapped and lost and scared and cold sad in the secret zoo

I initially bought this for my daughter's book club. She is only 5 years old but she did pretty well listening to most of the book, I was the one who finished it b/c I HAD to know what was going to happen next, LOL! For me, it was intriguing and think that this is better suited for children around the 9 or older range since some of the content could seem "scary" to a younger audience. On the other hand, all children are different so that would be up to the parent to decide :) I definitely plan on getting the other books in this collection just to see what is going to happen again... really a fun book that leaves you on the edge of your seat the whole way through!
