Main difference is they made a bigger toe box standard in the V3. Went back to the V1 design. It is the reason I bought the V3. Also Amazon had the size I wanted - T2 width. I was wearing the V2 design.

Q: Based on the design of the sole, it looks like these shoes would not be good on slick/wet surfaces. Anyone had problems with slipping?

Only had the show for about two weeks. Had some rain and was riding buses with what I would consider a slippery surface. I did not notice any problem with slipping. Very pleased with the shoes appearance, fit and performance. In short, no slipping noticed!

Hi, The Leather 928v3s have leather uppers; however, other versions like the 928v3s in white have a synthetic/mesh upper.

Q: ? cleaning the new balance men's mens 928v3 walking shoe. what is the best way to clean these shoes. the webbed top is very dark now.

I know, I hate that! I use a tooth brush with blue Dawn soap, then put them in the washing machine. I will never but another webbed shoe.
