The Gold Standard of Basmati Rice: Fluffy, Aromatic, and Utterly Addictive!
As someone who's always on the hunt for high-quality staples to stock my pantry, stumbling upon Lundberg Basmati Rice was a game-changer. I've tried my fair share of basmati brands over the years—some that turn into a mushy mess, others that lack any real flavor or aroma—but this one? It's in a league of its own. Grown right here in California by the family-owned Lundberg Farms, this 32-ounce bag of long-grain white rice promises (and delivers) on every front: non-sticky grains that fluff up perfectly, a nutty and aromatic profile that fills your kitchen with the scent of exotic spices before you've even added any, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing it's gluten-free, vegan, Non-GMO Project Verified, and USDA Organic. In a world of processed foods, it's refreshing to find something so pure and thoughtfully sourced. What I love most about this rice is its versatility. Whether I'm whipping up a quick weeknight biryani loaded with tender chicken, fragrant spices, and golden raisins, or keeping it simple with a side of steamed veggies and grilled fish, it never disappoints. The grains stay separate and light, making it ideal for those Indian-inspired dishes where texture is everything—no clumping or stickiness to ruin the elegant presentation. I follow the package directions religiously: a quick rinse under cold water to remove any excess starch, then a 1:1.75 rice-to-water ratio in my rice cooker, simmering for about 18 minutes. The result? Perfectly cooked rice that's tender yet firm, with that signature basmati elongation that makes each forkful a delight. And the aroma—oh, the aroma! It's subtle but intoxicating, like a hint of popcorn mixed with toasted nuts, which means it pairs beautifully with bold curries or even stands alone as a comforting base for meal prep bowls.Health-wise, this rice checks all the boxes for my busy lifestyle. At just 160 calories per cooked serving, it's a low-fat, gluten-free option that fits seamlessly into my balanced eating plan. I appreciate how Lundberg emphasizes sustainable farming practices—no chemical fertilizers or pesticides here, just eco-friendly methods that support soil health and biodiversity. It's not just food; it's a choice that aligns with my values. Plus, the 32-ounce bag yields about 20 servings, so it's economical too—I've been using mine for over a month now without running low, and that's with family dinners for four a few times a week.If there's one minor note, it's that if you're used to parboiled rices, the cooking time might feel a tad longer, but trust me, the wait is worth it. Compared to pricier imports or generic store brands, Lundberg's quality shines through in every detail, from the pristine packaging (resealable to keep it fresh) to the consistent results batch after batch. I've even started gifting smaller bags to friends who complain about their rice woes, and the rave reviews have poured in.In short, if you're serious about elevating your home cooking with a reliable, flavorful rice that doesn't compromise on ethics or taste, look no further. This Lundberg Basmati has earned a permanent spot in my rotation—it's not just rice; it's the foundation of countless memorable meals. Five stars aren't enough; I'd give it ten if I could!

A truly superior pantry staple
This is, without question, the gold standard for basmati. It exudes quality from the moment you open the bag. I prepare this exclusively in my rice cooker, and it performs flawlessly every single time. Whether I take the time to rinse it or simply toss it in straight from the package, the results are consistently perfect. The grains come out distinct and fluffy, never mushy. The aroma is wonderful, and the texture offers that delightful, slightly firm bite you expect from a high-end grain. If you appreciate the finer details of a good meal, this rice is worth every penny.

Great tasting rice with a nice mouth feel. It tastes like quality rice that is not too light tasting but just right. You can’t go wrong with this one. It always cooks perfectly.

Not Basmati
This is NOT basmati rice. They are calling regular white rice, basmati. It is not long grain, and is missing key textures, aroma and even when you look at the ingredient section it's misleading you. It takes longer than normal to prepare as well.
