This Dometic CFX protective cover is an excellent investment if you own one of these portable fridge freezers and want to protect it long term. The quality is exactly what you would expect from a Dometic accessory. It is durable, well designed, and clearly made specifically for real world use rather than as an afterthought. The fit is spot on for the CFX 45L. It slides on easily but does not feel loose or sloppy, and all of the cutouts line up perfectly with the handles, vents, controls, and ports. You can fully operate the fridge without removing the cover, which is a huge convenience when traveling, camping, or overlanding. The lid flap opens cleanly, and nothing interferes with normal use. The padding and materials are where this cover really shines. The outer nylon feels tough and abrasion resistant, while the internal padding provides noticeable protection against bumps, scrapes, and general wear during transport. It gives peace of mind when loading and unloading from a vehicle or when the fridge is sitting in the back of a truck or trailer. It also offers some insulation benefits by helping shield the unit from heat and sun exposure without causing overheating. The storage pockets are very practical and well placed. They are perfect for power cords, adapters, or small tools, keeping everything organized and accessible instead of loose in your vehicle. The zippers are smooth and sturdy, and the stitching throughout the cover feels strong and reinforced in high stress areas. While it is not cheap, this cover feels appropriately priced for the level of protection and thoughtful design it provides, especially considering the cost of the fridge itself. Does exactly what it says: protects our CFX5 45 from dirt and scrapes. It's made of a thick cordura nylon material (probably the thickest of this type of material that I've felt) and fits perfectly. Instructions could indeed be a bit clearer about the lid gasket fitting, but it's fine. Of course whether you actually need something like this is up to you - Dometic coolers/fridges are already pretty tough as-is, but this is a decent solution for keeping it looking clean and nice if you care about that. I will say it is maybe a little expensive for what it is.

Super easy to install and fits perfectly. I love what it ads to the cooler for protection, without inhibiting any of the functionality. A little steep in price, but worth it to make the investment in the cooler last as long as possible.
