I switched to LECA clay for some of my houseplants, and I’m so glad I did! This is such a clean and mess-free option compared to traditional potting soil. No more spilled dirt or pests—just smooth, round clay balls that look great and work even better. The color is a nice natural brown that gives a modern, earthy look to my planters. It actually enhances the aesthetic of my clear pots and adds a sleek, minimal vibe to my plant shelf. My plants are thriving in LECA—especially ones that prefer consistent moisture and better airflow around the roots. Growth has been strong, and root development is super easy to monitor and manage. The quality of the clay is excellent: uniform size, lightweight, and easy to rinse before use. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, visually appealing, and effective growing medium, this is it! What immediately drew me to this soil was the inclusion of four key ingredients: Perlite, Peat Moss, Coco Coir, and, crucially, Rice Hulls. This is a mix built for aeration. Excellent Drainage: The combination of Perlite and Rice Hulls creates ample air pockets, preventing compaction and ensuring that roots don't sit in standing water. This makes it ideal for plants that hate wet feet, like Monstera, Fiddle Leaf Figs, and Pothos. Balanced Moisture: The Peat Moss and Coco Coir work together perfectly. Peat provides immediate moisture absorption, while the Coco Coir retains water but releases it slowly and consistently, which reduces the chance of hydrophobic soil over time.

I gave this 4 stars because the bag was way smaller than I thought I was going to be for this price. That is obviously my fault for not double checking the size of the bag. But I’m still disappointed. It is honestly only enough for one medium size plant.

I received some clipping for a plant called mother of thousands. They were very tiny and this soul was exactly what I was looking for. The soil quality is perfect for a succulent and for very small plants. The plant requires damp but not too wet and the soil holds just the right amount of moisture.
