Q: will this make me look fat if im slim?

Lets face it...jackets make everyone look fat. Vests tend to fit better than a jacket, so as long as you get the right size, I don't see why it would. Layering makes everyone look fatter than they are! Your size doesn't matter, stay warm!!

Q: Has anyone washed this vest? Did it shrink?

I've washed it several times in cold water and dried in dryer and I didn't notice it shrinking at all.

Q: My 13 year old wants this, how small is the small? Could it fit him?

I have a medium sized Carhartt vest, and it is roomy on me. I am 5'10' and 145 pounds and slim, so that may give you a better idea of fit.
