SSD 2TB Drive Compatible with MacMini M4

This has been an amazing update to my M4 Mac Mini. I got the base model which was had stellar performance but was hindered by the small 256gb drive. I was constantly having to move data around to just keep the system going. This replacement was easy to install, easy to format, and easy to get up and going using a time machine backup. It has performed flawlessly and delivered the speeds advertised - which i didnt fully expect. This was the single best upgraded i have done for a mac computer and turned my M4 Mac Mini into a powerhouse machine that i should be able to use for several years into the future.

I'm giving it 4 stars because its too early to tell. There are so many brands out there for this upgrade that there doesn't seem to be any universally recommended one. So all I did was read the reviews and decided to try this particular one. The installation was very simple (as shown on Youtube). Restoring the operating system worked exactly as described on Youtube. I did the speed test and yes is is certainly faster than the original 256GB chip. I have the Mac mini backed up via time machine incase the chip fails. I'll come back in a few months and update the review.

The memory card comes with a toolkit which includes a pry tool, a guitar-pick style pry thingie, three torx mini bits, and a mini bit driver handle -- all you really need to do the whole replacement. Do find a video or written instructions before you start. There are several out there. The 9To5Mac video (and its written instructions) covered all the steps clearly for me and I had no problems. Value for money is very very good.

Game changing upgrade. Very easy to perform and the M4 Mac mini performs noticeably faster too with the much faster write speeds.
