Q: Can i use this if im 23 year's old ?

If you were born on a Leap Day and count your years by how many birthdays you live through... you should know by now. I’d say asking medical advice here could indicate naivety or senility.

Q: How much L-Dopa per serving? 4:1 suggests 20% of total weight. Is this correct?

5% is approximately the percentage of fresh seed. By drying conventional ways you can remove about 67% of wieght by removing the water. This means the seed weighs 1/3 the weight but still has the same amount of levodopa since the low temp drying methods do not damage it. Therefore the percentage is now 3 times the Levadopa in a dried seed compared to a fresh seed giving you around 15%. This product is probably a spray dried maceration that once dried has a 4:1 levadopa concentration ratio over fresh seed. I would assume that means around 20%.

Q: Has anyone determined if this is more or less potent than other brands?

When I was taking this brand I did not notice too much of an effect. Toward the end of the bag I started to double the dose to 1/2 teaspoon twice a day and it seemed to help. I have another brand - perhaps more potent - and I find I had to do the same thing/dose. Maybe it is just me or my systems needs. I am now trying to cycle the product to see if this helps with lower doses.

It does inhibit protein absorption with a similar mechanism that intaking soy has. However, there’s a cap to how much protease inhibition it can cause and it maxes out at a relatively low amount if you’re taking supplemental amounts of protein. I personally make Mucuna Pruriens the first thing I take in the morning, on an empty stomach, as far as possible from breakfast to avoid interactions
