Husband had monthly sessions for a year to complete a full back tattoo, we used this afterwards to help heal and reduce itching. Worked beautifully. Easy to apply (like that it's in a tube vs. tub), goes on clear and it's very light weight. Helped to reduce itching more than a lotion but needed to reapply a couple times a day. No real smell to it. I was recommended by a friend, and I would recommend as well.

This stuff is great! I have full leaves and have had many tattoos and this is the way to heal them. It makes the new tat feel better and I can tell already it’s healing so much better. As far as being sticky, just use a little bit. I don’t like the tube it comes in because if you squeeze some out, too much comes out so I unscrew the lid and just use a little bit and then it’s not sticky. I’ve been getting tattoos for over 30 years and seriously, this is the best. I’m impressed for sure!!

I was in need of a product that didn’t have mango in it as I’m allergic. I searched and this was the only brand I could find. Works great and I told my tattoo artist about it as the only she offered had mangoes and wanted an alternative to offer.

This stuff works really well to keep a new tattoo moisturized. It is NOT what you need to brighten old tattoos. It will moisturize but I haven’t seen any improvement in the color on my old tattoos. I really love that this product is not greasy and it doesn’t destroy my clothes.

I'll give it 4 stars because it does hydrate and heal the tattoo very well....you also have to use very little to go a long way! However, they advertise soothing, but immediately after applying the lotion, my skin itches for 30-45 minutes, which is a big reason I wanted this....to soothe the itch.Overall, I'd still buy it again and recommend it.

I recently got my largest tattoo yet (5 hour session) and needless to say it was tender afterwards. I waited until it was time to uncover it and after cleaning it I used this aftercare for the first time and it was immediately soothing. Within 5 minutes the discomfort I had was gone. It’s so easy to apply, non-scented and definitely has the feel of an aloe/aftersun gel. I used it through the whole healing process along with other balms and this gel was the best thing I used. I will definitely be buying more for future artwork.

This was recommended by my tattoo artist and honestly I loved it so much. It helped with the itchiness and soothed some of the redness I was dealing with. It felt cooling and the gel absorbed pretty quickly.

I have used this stuff on the past couple tattoos I have and I’ll never go back to aquaphor. This keeps your tattoo moisturized really well and seems to quicken the healing process. Yeah, it’sa little on the pricey side, but you don’t need a lot so a tube should last a good while.
