Fun and Nostalgic Game for All!!
Very nostalgic and fun game for the entire family. Just wish the sound/speaker was a bit more clear, difficult to hear some words sometimes.

Doesnât last
The first one we got was defective. We could turn it on but couldnât do anything. We sent for a replacement. It seemed better. My kids lost interest for a while, until it started turning on by itself. It would wake them up at night. Even on, the buttons donât work. Itâs satisfactory if you only want it for a few months.

We gave to my 6 years old daughter and she enjoys play/ learn with it. For her sometimes the words are to fast or confusing but in general she loves it.

YESS đ The Toy That Raised an Entire Generation I bought the Speak & Spell 80s Retro Edition and immediately felt like I needed permission from my parents to use it. The second it powered on, I was transported back to a time when cartoons were only on Saturday mornings, TVs weighed as much as a small car, and learning to spell felt like a high-stakes game show hosted by a robot with zero mercy. That voice. You know the one. Flat. Metallic. Emotionless. It doesnât praise you. It doesnât comfort you. It simply announces whether you are correct or a disappointment. This thing taught spelling the same way the 80s taught everything: loudly and without apologies. The buttons are big, clicky, and gloriously plastic. Every press sounds like confidence. Or defeat. There is no in-between. You can practically hear a cassette rewinding in the background while it judges your vowel choices. And letâs talk about the experience: You sit there, staring at it, fully confident. You spell the word. It pauses. Your soul leaves your body. Kids today will think itâs a fun toy. Adults will realize autocorrect has been saving them for decades. Final thoughts: This isnât just a toyâitâs a neon-colored time machine back to leg warmers, synth music, and being humbled by electronics that ran on pure attitude. If you survived the 80s, this will feel like home. If you didnât, welcome to the training. 10/10. Still smarter than me. Still louder than necessary. Still perfect.
