Good stuff. Different from last roll I bought
***Edit*** decided to pull some up to see how well it allows the liquid membrane to permeate. I layed down a thick layer of liquid, layed the membrane and knifed it down, then added more liquid and knifed it down multiple times. The center of the membrane wasn't permeated. Then I took some of this product and put it in a container with the liquid membrane and let it soak, then went through the same procedure as listed above... same results... not permeating the center. So then I took this attempt and proceeded to layer it up to 60mil and see how well it holds up to stretch. I was able to stretch the finished product by hand and the cured, liquid membrane held up. But the cloth membrane ripped loose across the center and completely failed. This fabric is too thick and dense to allow full saturation and makes the center of the fabric the failure point. Even after leaving this stuff submerged in a bucket of liquid membrane for 2 days and knifing it down, the center does not permeate. It's good stuff but it's different than the last roll I bought a few years back. This time it's a lot thicker. It lays flatter and doesn't pocket as much underneath when applied. This definitely builds up thicker faster but it's permeability isn't as good as the previous rolls.

BUY THE BRAND NAME STUFF
I bought another brand of waterproofing fabric off amazon that I was about to use with my hydrobarrier liquid to waterproof my shower but it felt super flimsy and I wanted to make sure everything would be good as the fabric was the cheapest part of the entire project. I really should have just bought this stuff first instead of wasting my money of cheaper generic fabric first as this stuff feels solid!

Fiberglass Cloth
Not much to say. Its fiberglass fabric at a low mil. Laticrete is a named brand one can trust. Ive heard stories about the generic brand and how hard it is to crease and stay put even with waterproof membrane applied during application. This product behaves as it should when applied correctly. Im using it with Mapei's AquaDefense in guest bath renovation.

Membrane
This tape is a part of water proofing package. I need one more to finish my job. This whole set which is Laticrete Waterproofing Membrane is the best on the market and worse every penny. Application very simple with brush and spackle and stick very well. 100% recommend for any bathroom waterproofing job.

Air pockets are no good because the tile needs a solid surface to attach ...
This is the stuff to buy for waterproofing because it adheres so well to the cement board when used with the waterproofing glue/paint. I tried two other products when I ran out of this roll and they were a stiffer material that needed a lot of glue underneath it to stick to the cement board. After the stiffer material dried I realized I had air pockets beneath the surface. Air pockets are no good because the tile needs a solid surface to attach to. I had to cut into the air pocket to stick more paint/glue inside and then tape it down until it dried flat. I was only half way successful. The bad stuff was a 6" roll of yellow colored stuff that I got online and a 4" roll of pink stuff I bought a Menards that went with their hydro barrier type waterproofing product. This product feels like a lightweight foam material that is tough. It is so superior.
