Worked as planned
I purchased the kit to use on my chrome front and rear bumpers. I ended up putting it on the chrome grill on my dodge. The instructions recommend 8-10" from surface for the first 3 coats. i however was probably 2-6" away and got too much on in the first application. DONT DO THAT. stay at the recommenced distance. after the initial coat i couldnt get the next coats to make it uniform. Make full sweeps across your surface and taper off the edges so you dont get stop lines. As it states, the more coats you apply the darker it gets. Thats what i ended up with, but im satisfied with the product and the look. The clear coat looks great and is easier to apply. I would recommend it and will purchase again for my bumpers.

Wouldn't call this black chrome.
I had multiple issues with this paint, mostly that it has a green hue under natural light (or white light) unless you use 2+coats of the product, but if you do that, it no longer looks like black chrome, but like a really shiny black. 2nd issue is how "thin" the paint is, it feels like water when you spray it, so runny paint occurs easily. The paint is self-leveling so runny paint isn't a big issue but it makes it more difficult to use, especially on smaller items. Also, the paint fades unless you use the supplied clear coat, but you must be careful using the clear coat because it can remove the black chrome paint if you spray too much (ask me how I know) of it. If you don't mind a green hue, I recommend but it just didn't work more my application.

It works pretty okay. As you would expect from something from a can, it's good from far but far from good. I only put on two very light coats, and that gave me all the 'black out' I wanted. Just a subtle smoking. I put on 3 light coats of the clear coat. We'll see how well it holds up. I'll report back if it all falls apart after a couple months. A couple tips. Don't use that Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter that is 'recommended' down below. It says it dries clear, but it's actually really splotchy and gives the chrome a dull look - even before you get the black-out on. After a thin coat I ended up taking it off. Also, the black-out can does NOT work while inverted or at an extreme angle. I set my piece up, got into position, and then found that out the hard way after I was in the middle of putting my base coat on. Kind of messed me up a bit.

Looks good and is fast to setup.
Great Idea, and works well. BUT, I am a daily rider rain or shine here in the big city so products don't last very long in my situation. This is great for non-service chrome, you know chrome you don't place you feet on and is just there for visual affect. I dod this on a Krapkuran part as their chrome is not meant to be outside at all. Kuryakyn = Krapkuran, guess it should be Krapkuryakyn.

Great product of you perp correctly
Pic one is one light coat. Second pic is 5 coats. Piece was chrome and needed it black. I was like this will never stick to chrome but yeah you tube said it will. So I wiped down parts using rubbing alcohol and a micro towel. Let it dry. Then used 3 light coats and waiting 30 minutes on a hot 80 degree day out in sun. And after 5 coats and 2 clear coats and now 2600 miles on parts after shadow the chrome it is still stuck on there and been in rain and washed and pressure washed I am greatly surprised that it staying on chrome. Now I can black out more parts on motorcycle

Typically duplicolor
On the expensive side. Got another dripper . It happens with duplicolor. I’ve learned to save the good nozzles when done and clean them with solvent. Ya switch out the nozzle and and it usually sprays the way it’s supposed to. Always!!!! Test on cardboard to check for drips save a lot of time on resanding. Also on replacing unsandable things
