If you are unfortunate enough to have a TV without an inbuilt media player this is ideal. i have numerous videos stored on external portable hard drives in both H264 and H265! and it copes well with both. The subtitle feature is good (change of colour, change of size), but change of position would have helped and also an immediate on/off switch for them. I understand it has many other useful features which I have yet to try, but so far it's working well and is worth the money.

started off well but soon became apparent the media player had issues. It would suffer from over heatin after about an hours use and shut itself down. i tried moving it to open areas with more ventilation but it made no difference. Ended up having to return it for refund

The interface looks fine, and setup was easy enough, but what’s the point if you can’t actually play the majority of your media library? I bought this to consolidate all my movies and music into one player, but instead I’ve spent more time converting files than actually enjoying them.

A good media player with high quality video output comes with a remote control but no ir sensor?

work fine for small files not larhe files

played several files and there is some glitch.. the remote is not very responsive which make it it more frustiratng to use . would not recommend

It works, but not as well as my old Western Digital box did. When you power down the Western Digital box it turns off the connected hard drives. This new box leaves them running.

I am opening a tackle shop and wanted to stream my YouTube videos on a TV and I came across this media player. Multiple functions including looping. Price it great, no need for it to be connected to a computer. Picture quality is awesome due to the 4k playback. Small build so easy to mount and install. Lots of connections available.

This 4K Player by Differ is in crash after 6 months. After powering on, it gets permanently stuck on the blue “4K Player” startup screen and never loads the system. The controller does not respond, making the device completely unusable. I attempted all standard troubleshooting steps, including: Power cycling and unplugging for several minutes Changing HDMI ports and cables Replacing controller batteries The device has no reset button or recovery option, so there is no way to restore functionality once it freezes. Because the product cannot be used at all, it does not meet basic functionality expectations.

The device plays well but nothing exceptional. The problem is that the instruction manual is totally useless. I threw mine away. Emailed customer service but no reply. On movies/ tv drives just experiment and learn the value on double clicking. The radio /music part was much easier
