Our LG TV is older than 2017. Searching on the TV model number didn’t come up with much. Instead opened the remote battery slot and saw it too has a model number and searched Amazon for that number. This remote came up it that search. This remote worked perfectly and was set up in a couple of minutes.

It was very frustrating trying to operate the tv.I repurchased last week in hopes it would be fully functional. Luckily, it has been great so far.If you get a remote that is having trouble, don’t wait as long as us to return it because now we’re out the money for a remote that didn’t work.The size and functionality is on par with the original remote so we would recommend this as a replacement.

When our pup chewed up the factory remote, i quickly went on the search for a replacement. This came quickly & is almost identical to the factory remote but has every button needed. My only complaint is I've had a few buttons stick but it quickly resolved itself. I've been using for around a month so far, well worth the $$
