Hi - The color of the tape is suntan and it comes in a roll.

Q: Is this smooth enough to use under nylons/pantyhose without snagging?

Yes!! Smooth like a bandage however mine was much darker than I expected. I'm very pale and this came tan orangish

Q: Will it stay on in a hot spring/ onsen?

I found it to be pretty waterproof. I wore it in Florida while swimming in the Gulf of Mexico and in the pool. It does become slightly see through when wet but I was overall pretty pleased. Not sure if the heat of the hot spring will effect it
