Fantastic Heavy Cream Powder for Ice Cream and Cooking!
I recently purchased Hoosier Hill Farm Heavy Cream Powder (2LB) and I’m beyond impressed with its quality and versatility! I’ve used it to make homemade ice cream, and the results were absolutely phenomenal—rich, creamy, and perfectly smooth texture every time. It dissolves easily and adds that luxurious creaminess without any fuss. Beyond ice cream, I’ve incorporated this powder into various dishes, from creamy pasta sauces to decadent soups and even baked goods. It’s a game-changer for recipes that call for heavy cream, especially since it’s shelf-stable and so convenient to have on hand. The flavor is spot-on, with no weird aftertaste, and it blends seamlessly into everything I’ve tried. The 2-pound pack is a great value, and the resealable bag keeps it fresh for multiple uses. I love that I don’t need to worry about running out of fresh cream anymore. Hoosier Hill Farm has nailed it with this product—highly recommend for anyone who loves cooking or making desserts at home! I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Good cream, good company
I love this stuff! The flavor is good, maybe a little sweeter than fresh cream. I put it in coffee, and also use it for cooking. (I never have milk in the house. If a recipe calls for milk, I use half cream and half water.) I bought it for camping and for emergency prep; but I use it at home sometimes, just to finish off the jar before it expires. It keeps for a year or more even after the container is opened. When it turns yellow, I figure it's time to throw it away and get more. Mixing it is kind of funny: the powder is so light, it floats on top of the water for quite a while. If you want to make one pint of cream, use a 2-pint container with a tight-fitting lid. Then you can get the cream and the water in there, close the lid, and shake it. It will take an hour or so to fully rehydrate. Giving it another shake every 10-15 minutes will help. I've also ordered cheddar cheese powder, and several kinds of dried vegetables, from this company. I've been happy with all of them. Amazon had some trouble with my last order, but the nice folks at Hoosier Hill got it straightened out. Bon appetit!

Decent for a powdered crea
I like to keep powdered non perishable creamer on hand for when I run out of my half and half. However, I don't like all of the artificial additives in most powdered creamers. This one has very few added ingredients and tastes just fine... maybe not quite as nice as half and half but better than a lot of the fake powdered creams that I have tried. The only drawback with this is it doesn't dissolve instantly but luckily I have a little whisk that works just fine to incorporate the cream into the coffee. However, while sipping my cup of coffee, there is a fair amount of Creamer floating around the top, but that is easily stirred to incorporate again

High Quality Product.
My husband and I bought this for a camping trip because we like cream, real cream in our coffee, I had tried powdered milk, but I may as well be adding water to my coffee, and so we looked in to buying some powdered cream and this was the best deal that we could find. I really like that the ingredients are just freeze dried cream, nothing more. I was a little bit weary of the taste, I thought it might taste weird, being it is dried, so I gave it a few different test to see how it fared. I first tried it with instant coffee, and it had a weird taste to it, and I was not impressed with the flavor of the cream, it tasted like cooked cream essentially, and I was very underwhelmed. Then, I tried it with real coffee, fresh brewed, and I had quite a different experience, it taste just like normal cream, maybe not really fresh cream, but it was perfect. I had it 3 days in a row like that, and it was perfect every time. I went back home and tried it with instant coffee again just to see what it would be like, and the answer is that it was definitely the instant coffee, it was the same as the first time I tried it. If you use this with an instant coffee, use it with a high quality one, mine was not, and it effected the flavor of the cream. As others have stated, it works best for mixing if you initially mix it in a small amount of liquid(preferably hot) before incorporating with your whole batch of anything. You don't need to make a paste, but about 4 parts water to 1 part cream should be good for mixing initially. I will definitely be ordering this again for use while traveling with my coffee, I am very impressed with it, and I plan on trying some of this companies other stuff as well, I am excited to do so, I hope they are as good as this cream. God Bless ~Amy

Taste great, hard to blend in, but eventually it works
A “must have” for those keto dishes. But also find I don’t keep cream in the refrigerator long enough so I love having this on hand at the coffee bar when the rare guest says they want cream in their coffee.

I didn't care for it
This did not dissolve and it sat right on top of the hot coffee and never intermingled with the coffee at all I had to pour it out I don't know what I'll use it for I'll probably give it away I have ordered this in the past and it didn't act like this it was dissolvable but I won't ever order this again I should have ordered a smaller amount and I didn't like the taste of it it tasted like bad canned milk so if I'm going to drink canned milk I'll order canned milk which is what I did today only because I can't get to the market and I don't want to just order cream from the grocery store

Coffee creamer? Yes and no.
There are a few major pros and cons concerning this product, so just bare with me here. First off, I prepared it three different ways and found it to blend the best with lukewarm water, a fork (I don't own a mixer or blender), a ton of manpower (because I used a fork), and a 2-3 periods of a few minutes to let it "bloom" (and rest my muscles) in between the actual mixing. Using this method I ended up with no lumps or grit but a few drops of what looked like melted butter on the surface of the mixture (probably butter fat). Now, on to the taste/texture/appearance: It is white, coats utensils/cups/containers made of various materials quite well, and the consistency is in right smack in between half & half and heavy cream. One tablespoon was perfect to lighten 10 oz of strongly brewed coffee. Seems perfect, right? No, just no. It tastes exactly like salted butter. However, after adding half of a standard sugar packet (adds 2g carbs) my coffee was perfect except for a slight hint of saltiness that remained. So I guess I invented my own coffee creamer, haha, and I've made a bigger batch to store in the fridge to use whenever I want instead of doing all that work every time. The product arrived undamaged with the safety seal intact and a decent expiration date. Upon opening, the powder had no off or chemical smell to it. In conclusion, if you're willing to do a bit of tinkering it is a definite yes as a semi-low carb creamer substitute. If not, its a giant no unless what you desire is liquid butter. P.S. This was a rather fun activity to break up the monotony of life during Covid. Also, bonus points for some well-needed exercise.
