Low-viscosity TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin offers fast wet out and cures to a level, resilient, finish that’s noticeably clearer than traditional 5:1 epoxy resin systems, so it’s ideal for clear coating applications and hand layups that expose and enhance wood's natural beauty or carbon fiber’s cool patterns. It also cures with slightly better flexibility than traditional 5:1 epoxy resin systems so it’s especially suitable for kayaks and other wooden boats that flex during use and with changes in temperature and humidity. TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin is designed for use with TotalBoat High Performance Fast, Medium, and Slow Non-Blushing Hardeners (sold separately). High Performance Slow Hardener is best when working in warmer conditions and has the longest working and cure times. At 77°F, gel time is 40 minutes & full cure is 5 days. High Performance Medium Hardener is ideal for most common applications. At 77°F, gel time is 25 minutes & full cure is 3.5 days. High Performance Fast Hardener is for use in cooler conditions and has the fastest cure and shortest pot life. At 77°F, gel time is 10 minutes & full cure is 2 days. To help you work as efficiently as possible, the High Performance Hardeners are compatible and can be combined with each other. Just remember to mix 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener by volume. This non-blushing resin system lets you finish projects faster because you won’t waste time doing messy surface wash-downs between coats. It’s especially ideal for shop and indoor use because the formula is low in odor and VOCs. Be sure your work area has adequate ventilation and use proper personal safety gear when working with TotalBoat High Performance Resin and Hardeners. Compare TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin and Hardeners to the MAS 2:1 Non-Blushing Epoxy Resin System. The TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin system performs exceptionally well and is a much better value. 100% made in the USA.

Non-blush is a bonus
I like using the stuff. It has less odor than the other stuff I've worked with before. Laminating over yesterday's work is what I like to do when I can. I've been building up thickness and laminating cloth layer over layer to make two strong spots for attaching U-bolts on the transom of a well boat. I can wet out the previous day's work without sanding since it's still a bit sticky next day. If I want to sand between layers, I just wait till it cures hard enough to not gum the sandpaper, and wet the sanded surface out before laying cloth on it or faring. Judging from how the sander behaves, it looks like it takes several days for this epoxy to cure out really hard.

Third Boat Build Using Totalboat
This is my 3rd small boat built using Totalboat epoxies. The first two were lap strake, this one is strip built. I like the technical resources they make available, including phone support for any questions.
