So far so good...Have used 3 rolls of this stuff1 as a test came in fairly uniform the paper is kinda like a toilet paper one once it gets wet so it does go anywhere to easily if kept wet. My 3rd roll I rolled out in a water flow path 3 days before a flash flood so part of it washed away but now the seeds are growing further down the water path, so all good.I planted in late winter early spring in central texas. Hope it can hold up to the heat as it seems it's going to hot dry summer, starting in April.

I was excited to get this product. It says roll it out, water it and watch it grow.There’s more to it than that obviously. I had to prepare the site. Removing all the old thatch, dead grass, leaves, and digging down 2 inches to loosen the soil. I did all of the above.I had rolled out the mats to decide how to lay them out around a tree and a curved flower bed. I cut out the design as best I could, and used the scraps to patch in some of the larger openings.I noticed that the mats had two different sides. A dark side and a light side. I wasn’t sure which side to lay on the ground so I tried contacting the company and I have received no reply. I thought this would be important since it said, in the video that the mat would stick to the ground once it was watered. so I wasn’t sure if there was a sticky side or not sticky side. Since there was no answer, I tried placing the lighter side down.I watered it, and it quickly became a very sticky mush and adhered to the ground.When the site was prepared, I lay down the mats and watered as instructed. I also watered it three times a day because of our Texas heat. And that was as instructed.It’s been two weeks and I have seen absolutely no growth, no sprouts, nothing. I was hoping I’d see at least a couple of sprouts by this time. A close-up shows that the seed coats are popped open from hydration but nothing coming out of them. I wonder if it had viable seeds at all.Since there are no phone numbers or replies to text messages, there is no way for me to know if I still need to wait longer to see any growth. But it seems that two weeks is long enough to see something happening.One photo shows that there are some holes but those were created by small critters who like to dig things up. After taking the photo, I went back and patched the holes up. That’s when I examined the mat and noticed that there was absolutely no growth happening. No roots no sprouts, no nothing.

Took about 2 weeks to start growing, but filling in nicely. Bought 2 more and they are sprouting at about 1 1/2 weeks. Will be my go to from now on. Watered every other day for about an hour.

Used a roll on a tough area, sloped, full of roots, kind of shady and on the north side of my lawn where everything blows and water flows to. Eight days after laying it down I could see lots of sprouts down the length of it. It's been 14 days now and it looks great. Had a good little bit of rain and it helped hold that soil in place, no new washouts. When I saw how good it was coming up I ordered 2 more rolls for another sloped, problem area. My soil is very compacted clay and sand, NOTHING has grown there for a few years.

Laid it down yesterday after following all directions, watered again this morning. When I got home from work, it was blown all over my yard and had to lay it all down again. Funny thing is, not even that windy out. Hopefully it sprouts after the upcoming rain and I don't have to worry about it again

I cannot understand why this product has bad reviews... I ordered 5 different bags of grass seed and this product. This mat is the ONLY one that was able to germinate. After this review I am buying 2 more rolls because my dog has destroyed my yard. Its a must for me!!!!

I installed 2 rolls of this turf, watered and cared for in in the summer of 2024, took a good month to to see results, was pleased as could be. The spring of 2025 now, I have dead grass in the area I layed down 2 rolls of this turf, completely disappointed. I would not recommend using this product if you expect more than one season from it.

Horrible. It’s now been two weeks and not one blade of grass. I prepped the soil, laid down the seed matt,had to purchase ground stakes because the slightest breeze would lift it up. Watered it three times daily. One day , and this was after one week on the ground, it was windy and it blew the rolls like paper towels all over my yard. This is a horrible product. I wasted $200.00 on this. Oh, I also planted some seed right beside it, same soil prep, and that grass (EZ SEED) is growing beautifully.
