In the photo, i have the model i received next to the box of what i “ordered”. I don’t write reviews but i did my research before buying one of these so i wont say i don’t trust in the products from Elgato but this is ridiculous. Clearly not what i wanted. Do better, Elgato. Sending me an “outdated” & “discontinued” model in the box of what i actually wanted is outrageously infuriating.

This was most definitely not plug and play. My setup consists of a M1 Mac Studio with capture coming from the PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X via OBS. After watching several videos and trial runs, I was able to finally find the right settings for my setup. I kept either getting very grainy video output or popping noises from the encoding process. Now that it’s setup and working, it’s a dream and works well for my content creation. Hence the 4 stars…YouTube: MuzzleTov Gaming

The only thing in this world that I can use without firmware issues on Apple Silicon.Great product, outputs 4k 60hz indeed. Just wish there was warranty cause im afraid of having it on all the time.Amazing product, 2 other brands of Video Capture Cards would not work with me.

It works as intended but it is an absolute nightmare to set up. Not plug and play at all but when it works, capture quality is fantastic. I spent days tinkering with this thing, especially the sound.

I bought this from Bestbuy as Doordash had 20 min delivery & Amazon had 3 days.So, great device all around, but has some issues.The main issue which I'm sure a ton of you will have, is screen flickering at 4k120hzHDR, AND the Elgato signal also cutting off when the flickers happen. Why does this happen? Well, I've troubleshot it, and the issue is the USB-C cable for power/delivery. It is very finicky. If your screens flickering & the Elgato is disconnecting, unplug/replug and it'll fix.You will need to get a new USB-C cable, preferably one that's less than 4ft in length.Another big issue that I have, is this device requires atleast 2 HDMI 2.1 cables & elgato only gives you 1x HDMI 2.1 cable. Kind of cheap and annoying of Elagto. The cable they do provide is braided and seems super high quality, but just like with the USB-C cable it's also kind of jank at its core. I had an issue where my gaming monitor would seemingly shut off, but the Elgato capture was fine. This is because of this horrible HDMI 2.1 cable randomly losing connection.I highly recommend replacing all cables that this device comes with. The device itself is fantastic and works as advertised, but the issues are with the high quality yet horrible functionality of cables. 4/5 stars because Elgato doesn't give you true premium cables, and they only give you 1x HDMI 2.1 cable (which is horrible.) when you obviously need 2.
