Tokaido Asmodee Board Game

Bought for two English speaking children now living in Japan. They currently play the easy form but are determined to graduate to the more complicated form as soon as they can. It keeps them occupied and helps them learn about some aspects of Japanese life.

This game is fantastic and it does not matter one bit whether this is the French edition or not. The cards don't have writing on them, the only things French are the box and the instructions. The latter is easily downloadable online in English or any other language.People giving this easy to pick up, colourful game one star, just because they are too daft to look LITERALLY at the third picture which shows the French box, then IGNORE the description in which it states it comes in French and then also somehow miss the reviews of all the other people who were blind enough not to fully check what they were buying.This is not the game's fault, nor the seller's, nor Amazon's. This is on people not reading properly.TLDR; this game is amazing, it does NOT matter that it is the French edition and you should 100% buy it.

My daughter plays Japanese themed games and card games so I got her this for Christmas. However very disappointed on Christmas Day as it is in French!! Whilst I appreciate this is in the fine print on technical info I would not usually check technical info for a board game. This very important piece of information should be on the main description page and highlighted. Wasn't a cheap game either.

Disappointed after buying this as a Christmas present to find that the whole thing is in French. Checking the listing the whole description is in English and there is no mention of French anywhere except a single line in the product details, Language: FrenchThis was very disappointing as I kept the box hidden for weeks before wrapping it so I could hide it from my partner and now I might not receive a replacement in time for Christmas.

Bit tricky to learn if you don’t know french

Unfortunately I, like many other Amazon customers, have purchased this only to find out that this is the FRENCH version. Literally doesn't state this on the listing - very disappointed as it was my birthday present!

French language - they try to hide this is the description be careful

Great looking game. Due to own fault did not read it was the French version, but luckily it was only the rulebook, not the board, tiles etc. Game creators have English rules that can be downloaded easily.

Consegna corretta, contenuto completo, istruzioni però solo in francese.Invoglia a ripetere partite in famiglia e tra amici, perché la strategia è facile ma non banale, corrisponde alle abituali scelte che un viaggiatore deve affrontare.

Das Spiel an sich ist gut, aber hier bekommt man die französische Version geliefert. Wie kommt Amazon auf die Idee, mir in der Ergebnisliste die französche Version dieses Spiels als erstes Ergebnis zu liefern? Und dann steht es nur ganz unten im Kleingedruckten das es nicht die Deutsche Version ist. Jetzt hab ich den Aufwand das wieder zu verpacken und zurück zu schicken, und als Geburtstagsgeschenk war es nix.

Il gioco è curato nei minimi dettagli con uno stile “acquerello” suggestivo delle atmosfere giapponesi, ambientazione del viaggio che i giocatori devono percorrere da Kyoto a Edo sulla via di Tokaido.Consigliato se amate il Giappone o se dovete fare bella figura regalandolo a qualche appassionato.La lingua non è fondamentale per il gioco, ma LE ISTRUZIONI SONO SOLO IN FRANCESE.Essendo un regalo, ho preferito restituirlo (reso Amazon sempre comodo e veloce) e comprare offline l’edizione in italiano.Mi sono accorta tardi che non sono l’unica ad essere incappata in questo errore. Basterebbe specificare chiaramente nella descrizione del prodotto che la lingua del gioco è in francese. 1 stella per la poca trasparenza.
