Amazing book, passed my CISSP
It took me about 8 hours to read and totally take in. This is the only CISSP book I didn't fall asleep reading. Shon Harris's book, I passed out on. ISC2's book, passed out on. This book was written in a way that doesn't make one fall asleep reading. The information is there but not to the extent of Shon Harris by any means. I would recommend reading this AND another book. This alone will not get you to where you need to be. I passed May 14 2019, so I can tell you that you will not pass only reading this.

To the point and smooth book for dry subject
INTRODUCTION pre review stepFor me to be CISSP certified is a dream, I am too busy in my work and home , I was trying to be certified since 2013, since that I bought every study guide and practice exam , however I can not complete them because the material is tooooo dry and after reading first 10 pages I feel sleepy and I loose the reading mood, also the exam duration was 6 hours, now in 2018 they reduce the time to three hours, I was excited, because after two and half hours there is no way I can Focus ._( THE BOOK REVIEW START HERE )This is the only book among all of the CISSP materials give me the mood to read from 1% till15% without feeling That IWant to sleep,The way and the explanations are perfect there are no useless words within this book , some other books you find many useless pages just for wasting your time with useless information,In this book they mention everything you need to know to PASS the CISSP certification precisely, they also mentioned clearly that DON'T REALLY ON SINGLE RESOURCE FOR YOU CISSP JOURNEY,The book to the point , give you what you need to understand the 8 domains ,I guess it it good starting point and med point, in other words , after reading this book consider reading another bigger book to have better understanding of the concepts and the terminologies such as cybex study guide or all on one CISSP books for detail explanation, or use YouTube for this purpose.NOTE:I did not tried any of the online resources yet, this review is for the content of the book ONLY

Missing Links
Book seems great, but all of the links are missing from the digital version. The book will having something along the lines of: "See ISC2's website( )"I contacted Amazon and they instructed me to trying deleting the book and reinstalling it on my device. Unfortunately this didn't work, and I was ultimately refunded for the book, and asked to try and purchase it again to see if it made any difference. The purchase price of the book has gone up in the last week (not a great deal but that is irritating), and once purchased again it turns out the links are still not there.

Difficult Read
I found this book difficult to read. From the start, the authors spent too much time adding humor that it took away from the content I wanted to learn. I could only get 1/3rd through the book before I decided to use other resources. The good news is, I did pass my CISSP exam.

Beatup and used
I received this book, in a zip lock bag, I just now opened it and the book looks all beat up and used the cover is torn a little. Hopefully the material is intact and there are no highlighting ect.. For a book I bought new, this one is very much used.

Read between the pages
The content is great when I can read it. The paper is sooo thin that you have to put a piece of paper in-between the pages so you can properly read. And you can't write notes on the page... ink bleeds through and post it notes can tear the page when removed.:(

Not going help
I now understand the title, CISSP for dummies. A dummy buys it to not pass, they leave out so much that needs to be talked about. The orange book is ignored as well as Brewer-Nash as an example. I cannot suggest this book with clear conscience, go to Thor teaches and you will find a list of books might cost more but you get what you pay for.

Book provides a good study guide / but online quiz seems dated
The book provides a good, brief overview of the CISSP CBK. It's a good way to get into the information and pull out the key topics needed for the test. However, I was very disappointed with the online test that came with the book. Some of the questions seemed outdated or they didn't line up with what I saw in the CBK.

Good entry level read
I consult and resell on a lot of the major vendors in Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASBs) and NG (Next Gen) Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and so on but decided recently to go after CISSP accreditation (can only become an associate without 5 years worth of credits). This is not for dummies and certainly is a solid entry-level read - covers most areas of the exam. Perhaps focusses a little too much on Identity Access Management (IAM - makes up only 13% of exam).Covers the basics forming disaster recovery, business continuity, CIA framework, maximum tolerable downtime elements and least privilege setups. Gives a fairly brief analysis of governance, policy and applicable laws.Seems to be very lite on NetSec (although very much separate is covered in InfoSec). Very little on cloud or hybrid environments, although again is a separate qualification with CSP. The book (and all others) are very light on modern enterprise solutions and what InfoSec professionals are using as interface daily, what options are applicable. The sample tests available online are a nice start but certainly won't fully prepare you for the exam - some strange questions on physical security (such as guard dogs) ... very unlikely to field those kinds of questions in the exam. But overall a decent read (quite a few lists and subheadings though) and will give you a nice introduction to the theory behind information security and cybersecurity.Tip? Read the whitepapers from most major vendors, follow their blogs, follow news sources and learn about how information is compromised in the industry alongside blogging what you learn yourself... There's a lot of material and I found this is the best way to retain that knowledge and remember the hundreds of acronyms. There's a lot of practices such as Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) or User & Entity Behavioural Analytics (UEBA) that don't get addressed in explicitly in the book but the theory is explained.
