Outback Dusk

Outback Dusk is a masterpiece of the male nude in photography. Paul Freeman can take the ruggedness of the outback terrain and match it with the perfect rugged model, or soften it by using a not so rugged model, either way it works . He is a master of shadowing and positive and negative space when posing his models. There is a perfect quietness to his photographs that can be both calming on one hand, soothing and warm on the other, with just a hint of sexual tension what some call "warm of may" a sexy innocence. His pictures in this book and his other Bondi and Outback books are almost candid in their composition. Which to me is the greatest talent a photographer can have. In his Heroics books the models are posed to resemble the classical style of art, in composition, shadow play and the negative spacing of the models figures in their poses is impeccable.

There's little much I can add here on this latest masterpiece. The book is perfect and a wonderful addition to the Outback series. Mr. Freeman captures male nudity in the most beautiful sense. Natural, rugged, and athletic builds--approximately 190 pages; nothing manicured which can be so easily found without nothing special in almost all of the other books on male nudity. Mr. Freeman is a true artist who captures the male body in total perfection.

This is my first purchase of Feeman's work and I was not disappointed. Marvellous modeling and composition and a break from the "clean" perfection of the studio and magazine mode. Most shots feel like you got a look at a man in his daily work or living routine and it's ok to ponder what you're seeing. And your view was framed by a fabulous photographer.

This is a great book. I love The black and white ones a lot. I find this book featuring very dramatic lighting which differed quite a bit from the 7 other books I had of Paul!!!! Cannot recommend it more

Great pictures of the male body...you do not have to be 'gay' to enjoy the male art form

An artistic view of the male body with photos that are shot with a dark hue. Rustic settings, full bodied males, though at least one image is repeated in the book. I got this as an impulse purchase from a Facebook ad, to use it as a gift for a friend. It is pricey, but as a large coffee table book it is well done and has a nice feel to it. It may not be the coffee table book for every coffee table though.

Paul Freeman is a masterful photographer.

Pros -STUNNING MODELS (Most of erotica books look like they got strippers to model for the photographers, in this case it looks like you actually broke into a ranch and sneaked them around, they are beautiful, natural, dirty, no six pack, no circumcision, hunky raw muscle boys next door. -Amazing photography (great sets, great lightning, everything looks beautiful, I couldn't point a single sign of photoshop in it). Cons -Size of the photos (the book is not big but neither small, it is an average book size, but half of the photos are small and in the center of the pages with white frames around them so there is a lot of wasted space, I get the artistic feeling of a white frame but not for so many pages). -Price (I got this book at the same time than "All Players by Rick Day", it definitively made it look a lot smaller since that other book is huge and cheaper, but I don't regret buying this one, I think the models in Outback Dusk are just beautiful, they look like actual farmers and cowboys, so if you want some beautiful raw male erotica, this is the perfect book for you).
