Honestly I bought this after seeing social media posts of people using similar. I didn't have much hope because I usually don't have success with products promoted through social media. BUT once I found the right amount of product to put in oil it really did solidify the oil and come out as one chunk. Super easy to use, easy to clean! No more dumping oil into a jar to throw away, now I can solidify it and plop it into the trash. Also the cleaning process of the container is so much easier too because I no longer need to wipe it down as much. This was an amazing product to have and I will be keeping it on hand in the future.

I was really impressed with how well this worked. Better and faster than expected. It was a large skillet with a decent amount of grease ;eft in it that I finally gave it a shot at. I started with an amount that seemed likely to be low, but figured I'd see what happened. It worked great. Not a hard product afterwards, but there was no oil moving in the pan when it was pushed to one end and tilted the other direction. It was a simple gel-like substance afterwards that could be thrown straight into the trash with no fear of it leaking. Since I used so little, it seems like a decent value if it is only used when really needed. As long as your oil is pretty hot when mixing it in, it is easy to use. I don't recall there being a smell. If there was any, it wasnt strong enough to stand out in my memory while writing this.

This stuff works like a charm! As long as you follow the directions and heat your oil up a bit first, then add the right amount of product (stir until dissolved), all will come out in one clump of gel. It solidifies perfectly. Easy to dump in the trash, and it takes the bits of debris from fried foods with it. Super easy clean up. No more "used oil" jugs to contend with. Amazing. Will re-order.

Compré este solidificador de aceite porque cocino bastante en casa y quería una forma más limpia y responsable de desechar el aceite usado sin tirarlo por el fregadero. Honestamente, me encantó lo práctico que es. Después de freír, simplemente agrego la cantidad recomendada al aceite caliente, mezclo y en pocos minutos el aceite se solidifica por completo. Una vez frío, queda firme y fácil de retirar para botarlo sin regueros ni malos olores. Lo que más me gustó: funciona rápido y solidifica muy bien incluso con bastante aceite. Es a base de plantas, lo cual me da más tranquilidad al usarlo en la cocina. Evita tapar tuberías y hace el proceso mucho más limpio. El envase rinde bastante; con poca cantidad hace el trabajo. Usualmente agrego un Scoop a cualquier cantidad de aceite, me gusta porque también trae ese Scoop en el envase y ya lo tienes medido. Un producto sencillo pero súper efectivo. Si fríes en casa y quieres una forma limpia, segura y práctica de desechar el aceite usado, este solidificador vale totalmente la pena. Definitivamente lo volvería a comprar.

When I was deep frying for years my main concern was the proper way of disposing the oil without clogging my plumbing. When I came across this product I thought it was too good to be true but when I tested it I was blown away when I used the flakes to properly dispose the grease. Definitely buy it if you plan on deep frying.

Though a good idea and simplifies big oil jobs, like when deep frying, it seems overkill and unnecessary if just frying an egg or something. These smaller kitchen cooking jobs are much easier to clean up by using a paper towel, and even in medium jobs, letting it cool and air out naturally (or sped up in the fridge or freezer). Because, these waxy flakes is an extra step and does require some time and patience. It's not immediate, and there are certain steps you have to follow first. So, when trying to toss out leftover oil from a frying job for example, this is most ideal.

Excellent for getting rid of oil cooking oil from our fryer and into the municipal green bin. For our 3L fryer, I use 120g of this product. I use a kitchen scale to get the right amount. And in a matter of a few hours, the oil is solid. I just dump it in the green bin.
